Clever K9 Dog Training

This was the most unprofessional and condescending encounter I have had in a long while. Didn't even get to the training because the consultation call was appalling. After expressing very real concerns in a detailed email I received a call from Marjorie with no voicemail but rather an email saying "call me". The call started by criticizing my email. The call was quick to judge our previous training, quick to interrupt and interject opinions, quick to suggest that I had zero clue what I was talking about, dismissing my concerns with my animals behavior, and quick to mock my notion that what I had spent on trainers was a lot. If you want a trainer that is unprofessional and beyond rude than Marjorie is for you. After speaking to other trainers and comparing my experiences, there are far better options in Wilmington and seemingly much more competent.

Looking at all the fabulous reviews that Clever K9 has received, we weren’t sure what we could add... BUT...Marji is truly a Dog’s Best Friend (more importantly) a Dog Owner’s Best Friend. Even before we had chosen Marji to help us train our new puppy, she answered 2 emails and 6 text’s about our little Banks. Marji is there for you and your pet 100%. We told her we were having some housebreaking issues with Banks and when I explained the issue, she said Banks had a Urinary Trac Infection...who knew male puppy’s could even get one...BUT...Marji was right. We got a lot out of our 2 hour home visit, our 5 day drop off class and Puppy Class was great...we are looking forward to our next class with Marji in Sept.

Marji did an AWESOME job with my two 6 year old springers! We needed some help when going on walks (stop pulling, barking at people, cars, other dogs especially.) Not only did she teach my dogs but also taught me different techniques to use when bad behavior occurs. We only did one session and were there for about 2 hours. The next time we went for a walk they did SO GREAT! It was actually enjoyable walking them. I would definitely recommend clever k9 if you’re looking for a dog trainer!!
