Victor did a very nice job with my 10mo old setter pup. She came home ready to hunt, obedient in the specific way we discussed, and in great health and condition. Like most setters, she's soft but has a lot of drive, and it was clear Victor knew exactly how to work with her. In her first season, she handled as easy as you can expect a puppy to, pointed more than 40 woodcock and a dozen grouse, plenty of state land pheasants, didn't blow a single bird, and honored my other dogs well.

I brought my one year old English Pointer, Shiloh, to Clear Cut Kennels for bird dog training. I got Shiloh after bird season 2024 and was not able to get him on birds. He had little to no experience on birds. Clear Cut Kennels had him for 4 weeks and got him ready for the upcoming bird season. I couldn't be more pleased. Victor, at Clear Cut, trained Shiloh to my way of hunting. He offered many options and took the training as far as I wanted it. After a week in Maine partridge hunting and a week in Mass pheasant hunting, I can say this dog can hunt. I highly recommend Clear Cut Kennels for your bird dog.

I met Victor by chance. I have a 2.5 year old GSP who had a little yard work training but no formal bird work training. After talking with Victor he advised let her hunt the season to get experience and exposure to birds then send her to Georgia with him to build on that experience. I was reluctant at first because it was 3 months and I wasn’t sure how my 4 year old would do without his dog. Victor assured me the dog would be fine and he’d send updates. So we convinced my son the dog could “go to school “ Victor was awesome answering questions, picked the up and dropped her off on his way through Massachusetts and send at least weekly picture and video updates for my son. The dog came back awesome with great roots. I was able to handle her through 4 junior hunt tests that she went 4/4 on and received her jr hunt certification. She also pointed her first grouse in Maine this weekend. Looking forward to a great season in the field with her.
