City of Tails

Mandy and her staff are great! I have seen great improvements in my environmentally reactive pup. Everyone is patient, kind, and has great suggestions whenever I have questions. I LOVE the photos, videos, and pupdates they send after each session! My pup, Auggie, has now successfully navigated his very first road trip, in a large part due to City of Tails work with him. Auggie wants to LIVE at daycare. He has sooooo much fun and learns so much!

Mandy is highly trained and treats each dog as if it were her own. I always felt confident leaving my puppy in her care. She takes time to understand the puppy's owner and how they interact with their pet. She also offers home visits to reinforce the puppy's training and establish good behavior at home. My only regret is that my dog has outgrown the program, however, Mandy will still offer home visits afterwards. Now, when she visits my dog goes bananas out of happiness to see her!

Mandy and her team are truly the reason why our Dalmatian, Emma, is a wonderful canine citizen. She's a picky dog and doesn't love every person she meets, but Mandy and her team won her over with patience, kindness, and excellent training. Honestly, I wouldn't have survived the hardest puppy months without them. The weekly sessions, plus helpful videos and training exercises that they shared with me after each session, set Emma and I up for success practicing skills outside of class. Plus, they've set up a safe and fun environment for puppies to socialize with each other. I would keep Emma in this program forever if she didn't age out of it. :)

Mandy and her team were incredible for my American Eskimo puppy, Koda. Koda started attending It Takes a Village Puppy Academy at 9 weeks old up until ~1 year of age. As a northern breed, Koda definitely has a unique personality compared to most dogs, and Mandy was able to individualize his training to work with him while also meeting our goals. Through her posted videos, Mandy also broke down his training step by step, so that I could follow along at home and further reinforce everything he had learned. Every day that my puppy "went to school" was his favorite day - and I'm pretty sure he loves Mandy and her team just as much as he loves me, his own mother! If you are looking for a program that includes all the things (training, socialization, playtime) this is the place to go. It really is a one stop shop.
