Chucktown Charley

August 31st, we rescued a Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy and named her Daisy. We knew our son needed a puppy that would run with him and had a lot of energy to keep up with him. We KNEW this was the dog for him! Little did we know that she would eat our house, drag us around the neighborhood, attack her food bowl, dash out the door every time it opened and terrorize our 14-year-old Dachshund. We found Chucktown Charley and they have changed our lives! I am not kidding when we remembered them at Thanksgiving when we listed all the things we are thankful for. Daisy has completed four week obedience course and is now on her second four week course. The training, exercise and socialization has changed this puppy. She has grown up (literally) at Chucktown Charley! She is POOPED at the end of the day! She comes home, drinks water, and FLOPS onto her bed. Even after she finishes this next round of school, she’ll still go to day care there, just because she loves it and she gets to PLAY! Allison has taught our whole family how to be better humans for our puppy. She advises us on collars, leashes, kennel training, and whatever else we have difficulty with. Highly recommend Chucktown Charley for dog boarding, day care, training and grooming. Our 3 month old golden doodle puppy spent three weeks in training with Allison and his behavior is so well-mannered. She taught him everything from "off" to "leave it" to "place" (staying on bed when asked) to loose leash walking. He was trying to get into everything and constantly pulled on leash before he went to boot camp. His behavior dramatically improved when he came home and responds to commands. He also socialized with many different dogs and learned how to interact. He loved his time at Chucktown Charley and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thank you!!
