I inherited my father's Belgian malinois. Whilst my father raised him from a pup with love. He did not have any sort of obedience at all. All 80 lb of piss and vinegar ready to walk you wherever he wants. He did not listen for his name or any calls whatsoever. This was before his training with Christian K9. Now? He is a complete gentleman. My wife can walk him with her fingers. And he does not pull. He does not fight. And he listens extremely well to calls and commands. This is all I wanted. I wanted to give this dog his best chance at life. For he is the last bit of my father I have. For their service, I thank them.

I sent my dog Nala for a 2 week board and train about a year ago to help with her dog reactivity. Not only was there an immense positive change in her behaviors and training upon pick up - but Dean and all the Christian K9 staff have invested in her and my own continuous learning at the monthly maintenance classes. As such, her behaviors and training have continued to positively grow even after her completing training, and my confidence and knowledge as her owner has also grown. Furthermore, I love that regular boarding is offered following a dogs completion of the board and train program. The peace of mind of Nala being only around highly trained dogs and being supervised by trainers who know her well while she is boarding is unmatched. The positive impact that Christian K9 has had on me and my dogs life is immense, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trainer in the Columbus area!

After multiple training sessions with little to no improvement in our dog’s behavior, we knew we needed something more for our two-year-old Redbone Coonhound–Mountain Cur mix. After three weeks of training with Dean, we can honestly say our lives have changed. During the first week, Dean taught us how to properly use a prong collar, and for the first time, walks were manageable with no more leash pulling. In week two, we added treat-based training—even with a dog who was never food-motivated—and continued to see more progress. By week three, we moved to an e-collar and were able to walk through the park without a single issue; off leash! Dean and ChristianK9 truly transformed our relationship with our dog. Walks are enjoyable, having him around is easy, and he has become the fabulous companion we always hoped for. We are beyond grateful and highly recommend Dean and Christian K9 for anyone struggling with their dog’s behavior.
