FirstBarkShe knows the behaviors and the reasons the dogs are behaving in certain situations, and she knows to use positive reinforcement to get the correct behaviors as well as extinguish undesirable behaviors. She is extremely pleasant to work with, which is great because she has to teach the owner as well as the dog.

Our family hired Melissa to come into our home and train one of our dogs, as far as training the dog she did great. But do not trust her... my sister-in-law and mother-in-law passed away nine months apart, which left my father-in-law sad, lonely and very vulnerable.....Melissa took advantage of that, she started coming around my 80 year old father-in-law while he’s in a dark place....Took advantage of him. In a short amount of time (3 weeks) She had him buy her a new car and got his account for some other $$. Before we could stop her...Please please be aware before you invite her into your home and into your lives.. shame on you Melissa we worry about our children with predators we all also need to worry about our elderly as well.
She wanted 400 to train my dog which I'd pay but she was only coming to check him out for a few and then I had to take him somewhere else and it was not feasible for the price I cancelled before I got involved
Very quick response! As a matter of fact, she answered my e-mail so quickly that I haven't had a chance to get back in touch with her yet. However, I am very impressed so far and looking forward to talking with her.
Melissa did behavioral training for our pitbull Eli. She was so knowledgeable and had so much patience with us and him. Would recommend to anyone in the Abilene area, best trainer in the Big Country.
