Chris Park k9 Dog Training

I probably just needed a hug, but I got a German Shepherd Dog instead…. We brought Chilli home when she was 8 weeks old and knew right away that we wanted a well behaved dog. We also have 2 young children so an obedient dog is a must for safety. Chris Park had the best reviews. Like, who has all 5 star reviews? Could this be real? Without mentioning my research on him, he was recommended by 2 colleagues of mine as I was wallowing to them about my puppyhood misery. Chilli is a wild and crazy and happy GSD puppy. She was biting a lot. We couldn’t even pet her, she’d get so excited and start to bite us. My sons were scared of her and avoided her like the plague. Not at all what I pictured. We did some basic obedience and socialization but clearly we were missing the mark and messing something up. So I gave him a call. We scheduled her drop off for when she turned 5 months for board and train. At first I felt a little nervous then I got my first update video and realized my dog was in her happily ever after era. I loved that the first video I got was of London (one of Chris’ trainers) playing with her, getting to know her before they started their work. My family and I loved getting video updates! She did board and train for almost 3 weeks. Chris said they don’t want to push the puppies too hard because they’re young. I like that they don’t just have a single plan and time frame but they really work with your dog, where they are and figure out what they need. We picked up the same wild and crazy and happy GSD puppy except trained. We could finally pet her, she responds to commands and corrections much faster. And my sons could play with their dog! At pick up, they give you a lesson and instructions and then you book follow up sessions. Chris makes sure his work is complete after drop off. He first trains your dog and then you! (Let’s face it, training dogs are probably the easy part) Follow up sessions were so great, and helpful. Chilli keeps progressing everyday! She’s still only 6 months old, but we’ve been on off leash hikes and walks (ignoring bunnies, squirrels, dogs and even the dreaded high pitched “a puppy?!?). She’s officially graduated from Chris Park K9 but Chris still checks in to see if I need anything (knowing full well she’s a wild and crazy and happy puppy). Another reason we did board and train is my husband and I work, have 2 kids and busy schedules. This totally sped up and accelerated the training process and we bought good quality time with our dog. So if this is 300th 5 star review you’ve read, just call him and book it!

We are thrilled to have worked with Chris and his team! From the very first session with Milo after training, we could immediately see the difference. He was focused, responsive, and just so much more in tune with us. It honestly blew us away. Chris and his team clearly put in the work and built a solid foundation. Everything just clicked, and it felt amazing to have that kind of connection with our dog. Milo seems happier and more confident, too, which makes the whole experience even better. Our whole family is so grateful. It’s such a great feeling knowing your dog will listen to you and enjoy it. Can’t recommend Chris and his team enough!

We are so happy with the results, Chris & his team are great at what they do! Our puppy is a sweetheart but a puppy - pulled very hard on a leash, nippy, didn’t know how to approach other dogs, couldn’t be left in a room by herself if not gated, etc. We opted for the multiple week boarding training and are thrilled with the results!! In just a couple weeks there, she has been MUCH better on a leash, can be off leash and listen to commands, understands no, gets along much better with our older dog, and can be trusted to roam around our house now. She has become a disciplined, confident puppy while still maintaining her goofy, loving personality!! At just 7 months old, she is already better behaved than most adult dogs. She has been back with us for about 2 months now & hasn’t lost any of her new found discipline either. If you have any kind of behavior with your dog/puppy that you can’t seem to change on your own, I highly recommend you give Chris a call. He will get you the results you desire & teach you how to continue the training at home!

Can’t say enough good things about Chris Park K9. When I first started working with Chris, my 1 year old golden retriever was shy, timid, and easily overwhelmed by new environments.It was so hard to see my pup struggle with confidence and fear in situations that should have been enjoyable. From the very beginning, Chris was patient, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my dog’s unique personality and also took the time to teach me how to best support Winnie in new environments. Now, my dog is noticeably more confident and comfortable in situations that used to be too much. Walks are less stressful, new experiences are met with curiosity instead of fear, and I’m seeing my pup’s true personality come through more every day. I’m so grateful for Chris and highly recommend him to anyone looking to build a stronger, more positive relationship with their dog—especially if you're dealing with fear or anxiety issues.

I can’t recommend Chris Park and his team, enough, (thanks, London!). Our 5 month puppy, Ollie was crazy before Chris’ program, jumping, biting, barking, not listening to us at all. We had tried other training programs, with no results, Ollie would just get barricaded away from other dogs. After 2 weeks with Chis, he is much calmer, quieter, he listens to us, and no biting. He is still a rambunctious puppy but, so much better behaved. Chris taught us to understand the puppy brain. The training continues at home and he just keeps getting better! Thank you! 🙏🏼
