Teaching a dog potty manners is not for the faint of heart. It can be frustrating, overwhelming, and messy to take on potty training your puppy (or your older dog). Fortunately, you don’t have to do it alone. We offer Potty Training services that give your dog the consistency and praise he needs to succeed.

By far our most popular training program, our Board and Train service gives us the opportunity to work directly with your dog for 12 days. During our time together, we give your dog the obedience skills (like leash manners and commands like Sit, Stay, Down, and Place) and practice he needs to be successful. We also take walks, play fetch, and rest. Your dog spends the days and nights with our Trainer, no cold or lonely kennels involved. You get lots of photo and text updates throughout your time apart, and when you return to pick up your best friend, you learn how to keep up the progress at home.

Private 1 hr lessons with owner and dog scheduled once a week. Our private day training program is 10 lessons where they will learn the basic obedience commands. These commands will also be taught to you to continue training and enforce consistency in between the scheduled lessons.

Stay and Refresh - (Alumni Boarding) Once your dog has completed either our Day Training or Stay and Train programs they will be eligible to Stay and Refresh with us. During their Stay we will refresh all of the obedience and commands learned. So your dog will return to you even better!

Thank you, Lauren, Nick, and Team! We had a wonderful experience with ChicagoLand Dog Training in McHenry, IL! They worked with both of our pups and did an incredible job. Throughout the training process, our dogs learned a wide range of basic obedience commands and began building confidence and independence. The team was knowledgeable, patient, and always available to answer any questions we had along the way. They also gave us the tools and guidance we needed as puppy parents, which made a huge difference in how we approached training at home. It was truly a positive experience from start to finish. We highly recommend ChicagoLand Dog Training to anyone looking for professional, effective, and compassionate training for their dogs! Our two pups will also be taking advantage of the Stay and Refresh (Boarding) when they are unable to travel with us!

Nick and Lauren are simply the best! We brought Nova in because she needed help building confidence to become less reactive. They took extra time with us, worked patiently, and gave us the tools we needed to see real progress. Nova is already so much calmer and more comfortable in situations that used to instantly overwhelm her. We also had Kona come in for a brush-up, and she came out much more dialed in on her commands. It was amazing to see how quickly both dogs responded to the clear, consistent training that Nick and Lauren use. What really stands out is how much they care—not just about the dogs, but about making sure we as owners know how to continue the training at home. We left every session feeling supported and confident. I can’t recommend Chicagoland Dog Training enough. If you want trainers who go above and beyond for both you and your dogs, Nick and Lauren are the go-to team!

Walks are no longer a problem, he no longer jumps on people who come to the door and we only went THREE times so far!! Great people!! I would recommend Chicagoland Dog Training to anyone!!

I enrolled my puppy in basic training and cannot recommend ChicagoLand Dog Training enough. The care and love Nick and Lauren showed towards my dog during the training experiences was exceptional. After the sessions were over my puppy gained skilled we were able to apply to real life situations immediately. She is a dream to bring with us to restaurants and crowded environments with what she has learned. Worth every penny.
