Teaching a dog potty manners is not for the faint of heart. It can be frustrating, overwhelming, and messy to take on potty training your puppy (or your older dog). Fortunately, you don’t have to do it alone. We offer Potty Training services that give your dog the consistency and praise he needs to succeed.

By far our most popular training program, our Board and Train service gives us the opportunity to work directly with your dog for 12 days. During our time together, we give your dog the obedience skills (like leash manners and commands like Sit, Stay, Down, and Place) and practice he needs to be successful. We also take walks, play fetch, and rest. Your dog spends the days and nights with our Trainer, no cold or lonely kennels involved. You get lots of photo and text updates throughout your time apart, and when you return to pick up your best friend, you learn how to keep up the progress at home.

Private 1 hr lessons with owner and dog scheduled once a week. Our private day training program is 10 lessons where they will learn the basic obedience commands. These commands will also be taught to you to continue training and enforce consistency in between the scheduled lessons.

Stay and Refresh - (Alumni Boarding) Once your dog has completed either our Day Training or Stay and Train programs they will be eligible to Stay and Refresh with us. During their Stay we will refresh all of the obedience and commands learned. So your dog will return to you even better!

I was a little apprehensive sending my Golden Retriever away for 2 weeks. 1st, because our home wouldn't be the same without him and 2nd, I was worried he'd come back a different dog. I mean different as in his disposition and personality. He didn't! He was the same Buster I knew but better and calmer. We reached out to Nick at Chicagoland Dog Training because Buster was very aggressive toward other dogs other then our own. And, because of that my wife had a difficult time taking him for a walk. He wouldn't listen to her. After Nick spent the 2 weeks with him, my wife took Buster for a walk and she nearly cried because Buster listened to her commands. Nick worked with us to show us how to use the commands in a simplified way. Since then, we've taken Buster on walks with other dogs and he's done great. His behavior at home is just as great. Nick's knowledge of dog behavior is outstanding. I couldn't recommend Nick and Chicagoland Dog Training more.

Nick has been working with my 6 month old French Bulldog, Nico since he was 12 weeks old. Nick has done an incredible job with not only training Nico, but training me as well. He is very passionate about dogs and strives to set both the dog and owner up for success. Nico has also boarded with Nick and Lauren in their home and has shown major improvements every time he comes home. He has taught me so much and I have been able to keep up on Nico’s training while at home. Nick has been a major help to me and the training of Nico and I would hands down have him train another dog of mine or recommend him to any of my family or friends! Thank you again Nick and Lauren!

I can’t speak highly enough about how incredible of a job Nick and Lauren do. There is a night and day difference in our dog’s behavior and we couldn’t be more satisfied. I was admittedly skeptical that the skills and obedience our puppy learned at ChicagoLand Dog Training would be a challenge to transfer over once we took him home - I couldn’t have been more wrong. Nick gave us an in-depth training as we picked our puppy up and we still have additional private lessons still to come. Our puppy went from their suburban house and big yard to our small city condo and was just as well-behaved. Whether your dog has some serious behavior problems or just needs some minor tweaks, I recommend Chicagoland’s services to any and every owner!
