ChicagoLand Dog Training

Where do I start! From the hour phone conversation prior to even meeting us-to board n train-to regular boarding after. All this within a few months, and Lauren and Nick have gone above and beyond to help with our Otis. Otis is a stubborn pup and they have been supportive and on point with training him. He LOVES them-so much we tell Otis let’s go see Uncle Nick and Aunt Lauren. You can tell they have a true passion for animals and what they do. We are forever grateful to have met them.

All that comes to mind is that ChicagoLand Dog Training (and therefore Lauren and Nick) are nothing short of absolutely wonderful, both in dog training and being awesome people to work with! We have a very energetic Australian shepherd/cattle dog/mutt, Scarlet, that used to be sometimes overly adoring, enthusiastic, and just couldn't help herself when wanting to express her excitement or herd, well, everything. The timing worked out perfectly and while we were away on a trip Scarlet stayed in the brand new facility for the two week board and train. From the meet and greet onward, you could tell that she would be in incredibly good hands and receive great care. Lauren and Nick were very attentive in noting what we wanted to particularly address in addition to the general curriculum - and with a toddler and newborn, it was greatly appreciated. Now Scarlet can hold her place for over a half hour while the post-dinner play session is happening; she went from athletically meeting people at the door (one time her tongue got in a visitors mouth she jumped so high to greet them...whoops) to having four paws on the floor (and we know how to effectively correct her if she still tries to hop up) and she is a stellar walker next to a stroller nonetheless. The last thing I will note is that you are trained as the owner as well with a private session at pick-up, which they record the important parts of for you so you can share with family members etc. I didn't realize how important this was until we had the session, and when we came back for our final follow-up private about a month later Scarlet did really well and was able to see her best friends Nick and Lauren again. We will be back whenever we need to board Scarlet and can. not. recommend. them. enough!

Update on Lily Rose. First time back to the vet ( since her training with Chicagoland Dog Training ) for her annual shots, what a different dog, sat when I told her to, went to the weight scale calmly without pulling and sat when I told her again and she is now 52 pounds yikes. Waited patiently in the room perfect what an angel. Before, it was total chaos !!! Thank you guys, I totally see a difference and now it’s up to us to continue at home training.
