Charry’s Premier K-9 Training

Our dog just finished the three week board and train with Brian and we can’t recommend him enough! We have a 10 month old Bernedoodle who I was struggling to walk. He would nip at my arm for a whole block and we both came home frustrated. He would protest doing anything he didn’t want to do and not leave guests alone when they were at our house. After three weeks, we are all so much happier. Bear still has his goofy personality but I can walk him without issue and not have to turn around if I see people or other dogs. Brian was also super encouraging during our training sessions as we learned alongside Bear. Bear loved Brian too! 10 out of 10 recommend doing this for you and your dog!

I've owned German Shepherds for over 35 years but my latest two were a real challenge; partially because I didn't have as much time to spend with them and also because it was the first time I purchased a working shepherd not from a show line. Brian explained one of the most important areas of training my dogs would needs was to control their emotions (overly excited and somewhat hyper). Within three weeks, I had two dogs that had learned to get the positive reactions they wanted, they needed to give me the reactions I wanted - happy yet calm; no knocking me over for attention or getting in the faces of my other, older dogs. Don't get me wrong, they aren't perfect, but Brian also took the time each week when I went to his facility, to train me on how to react to their challenges. It's important to get your dogs on the right track early, and I'm thankful I found Brian. If you want to be a happy dog owner with happy furry family members, I'd give Brian a call. You can bet, if I find I need a little help because my girls are slipping into a bad habit, I'll sure give him a call!

My sister and I took our two German Shepherd puppies Kekoa and Leilani to Brian for 3 weeks of training. Kekoa is a working German Shepherd Dog, Leilani is from show lines. We chose Brian even though he is almost 3 hours away from our house because of his extensive experience with the working line. We went up after one week and could not believe the difference in them, especially Kekoa. It was kind of frustrating, in a VERY good way. How could he do in one week what we could not do in 5 months to these dogs, especially Kekoa?? By the time we left after the second week we were sure these could not be our dogs. By the third week they were no longer pulling us along like sled dogs. The change was remarkable. Brian works to train the owners as well as the dogs to set you both up for long term success. He told us Kekoa would continue to test us and see what she could and could not get away with and he was right. When she sits there looking at you, you can see the “wheels in her head” spinning trying to see what new things she can get away with. I don’t worry though because I have her number now, but most importantly I have Brian’s phone number. Brian also has the best group of assistants that are essential to his operation. They helped our girls a lot and we want to thank them too......his wonderful personal German Shepherd dogs. They provide distration which is an important tool for teaching dogs control. Bottom line, need a good effective trainer, call Brian. Thank you Brian!

Our family recently found ourselves in need of a trainer after our Husky, Bolt slipped out the door, running directly into the road in front of our house and narrowly avoided being hit by a truck. At the time, Bolt would not stop or recall, which left us feeling helpless to do anything other than watch the incident unfold. Afterward, we determined recall training was the best course of action to hopefully prevent the scenario from ever happening again. After extensive research, we selected Charry's based on Brian's vast knowledge and experience. We reached out to Brian and quickly scheduled Bolt for the 3-week board/train program. Upon meeting/evaluating Bolt, Brian tailored a training program to specifically meet our needs. When a setback arose during the 1st week of training, Brian promptly reached out to discuss the issue and potential “work-arounds” to get Bolt back on track with his training. The modification Bolt needed, required Brian to double his time/efforts with Bolt, which he did without a second thought. In doing so, Brian displayed the love, passion and dedication he has to the dogs and his craft. Brian is patient/gentle and kind, and he uses every opportunity to not only achieve your training goals, but to educate on your dog's behaviors, psychology and body language. He works until you are confident in your ability to effectively handle your dog. The value of our training experience was so much more than expected, Brian earned our trust/respect, we would never consider using any other trainer in the future.
