So thankful for the newly added grooming services offered at CharlieBar!!! Our Cattle mix has been turned away from other groomers because he shows kennel aggression with complete strangers and he refuses to let us bathe him. The groomer at CharlieBar was so helpful and worked so well with him! He didn't show any aggression during his bath, only when it came to trimming his nails but the groomer was patient and knew how to handle him. She also gave me several tips on how to attempt to bathe him myself next time, but I plan to keep taking him in since they were so quick and helpful. Not to mention the great pricing! We're so thankful and pleased, we felt like she performed a miracle! 😉

We rescued Martha, a pitbull / cattledog mix, from the shelter just a few hours before she was to be euthanized. She is older and set in her ways. We tried to integrate her with our family, but things were not going well. We hired a trainer to come to the house weekly and help us. She finally cried "Uncle", and recommended Ricardo at Charlie Bar board and train as she left for the last time. We dropped Martha off for a 2 week session. Ricardo and the crew were fantastic with her. Rick is very personable, professional and forthright. Rarely have we met anyone who is so earnest, driven or passionate about his work. He, Kenz, and another lady whose name eludes me (I apologize) worked with her so well, we ended up bringing Martha back for 3 weeks more training! Most importantly, they were very above-board and open. They sent pictures, emails and/or videos each day letting us know how she was doing. They responded quickly with detailed answers to any questions we posed. And Martha enjoys seeing the crew (unlike her reaction at the vet's office). Our experience was so positive, we will drop her off there for regular boarding, when we go away overnight or on extended vacations! We've hired trainers before for our dogs, but have never had such a positive experience. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Ricardo and the crew!!

WOW. Ricardo was so great. We have an almost 4-year-old lab/shepherd/hound mix who has demonstrated reactivity at home and he gave us so much to work on. His way of framing the situation(s) at hand were super helpful and was great at checking in to make sure we were understanding each step along the way. We did our session at home as that is where most of the negative behavior takes place and he gave us so much hope after our training session. We have a lot of homework, but we are so thankful or the valuable lessons!! Couldn't recommend enough!
