I have referred quite a few people to CharlieBar Dog Boarding and Training, simply. Because I have witnessed the way that Ricardo trains and treats dogs. Everyone has been so please at Ricardo's knowledge and abilities... He really is an amazing trainer... Don't believe any negative connotations because you and your dog will really miss out over what haters have to say. God doesn't like ugly, and he sees it all!

CharlieBar Dog Training has completely changed my life. In December of 2015 I decided to purchase a puppy. She is a black Labrador and she was only three months old. Within a month I knew she had a lot of potential to become a Service dog as she had already known basic commands. I asked the 24/7 doggy daycare that I used for my other dog also a Labrador. They recommended a guy who was just starting out his business which was called, CharlieBar training. My dog is not nine years old. Her name is Sophie. Sophie went for four months of training for Service one month for obedience training then it was the second month for her basic skills but she actually learned how to push her walker. She learnt how to turn off lights she learned how to hold a door and she learnt how to pick up stuff off the floor if you learn how to go out in public. Sophie learned how to do things they would make my life much easier with my Disability because of the owner of CharlieBar I could never give him enough credit at that point. A few months later he took Sophie back again and this time he took her for two months I thought I’d lost a limb. She was that good and she helped me that much. Sophie was rather aggressive when I came for eating and she was just a baby but CharlieBar was able to stop her from doing that and actually had her sit down and lie down in the middle of her feeding. I’ve never seen a dog do that. That was only within the first week. To this day nine years later, she said she will still do that. She also brings groceries in from the car, takes laundry out of the laundry basket to hand to the Caregiver and put the laundry from the dryer inside the basket as well. She also carries the basket to the bedroom. She no longer runs outside and runs away, but she does go get the mail off leash and bring the mail back in her mouth. Sophie stays with me and protects me all the time and also she protects the house. She knows when somebody comes in or not because we have a sound that the doorbell makes. Just yesterday morning my husband passed away yet Sophie knew exactly what to do. I want to tell who’s ever out there that CharlieBar training it’s one of the best all-around training facilities that you will ever find in all of Maricopa, Pinal, and Pima counties. Our 6.5mo German Shepherd was having boundary issues. We found CharlieBar through the recommendation of a colleague and I can't say enough good things. We couldn't be happier after 2wks of boarding and training. It is a " night and day" difference having Mozart home since we picked him up yesterday. He responds to our commands and he's so much more well-behaved; he has his moments of forgetfulness, mostly from puppy energy, but he re-focuses very quickly. Rick will lay the foundation for you and your dog; it will be on you to keep it up when your dog gets home though. The grounds are clean, the dogs we saw were happy and enjoying their playtime together. Mozart was very well-cared for during his time in training and the trainers even sent pics/vids throughout the process showing his progress. The trainers we met are clearly passionate about their work and if you ask about the story behind the name CharlieBar, you'll ssw why. Rick was patient with us at our outbrief when we picked Mozart up, made sure we understood what we need to do to ensure training progress going forward, and provided a handy instruction cheatsheet of everything Mozart learned. I even recommended CharlieBar to my own parents since they've been looking for someone.

We had to use CharlieBar when one of our dogs was needing some guidance and manners. Not only were Ricardo and his staff so understanding and kind, they also had a lovely set up for the dogs while they are in training. They kept us updated with photos and videos and that made being away from our baby a lot easier. I did a lot of research before choosing to use them and i am happy this is who i picked. Hopefully *knock on wood*, I dont end up with more counter- surfing dogs that need Ricardo and his expertise. lol
