The best in the business! We were lucky enough to find Mike by word of mouth through a police officer's recommendation almost 8 years ago when we got our first German shepherd. When my shepherd passed last year, we bought two more shepherds without the true knowledge of what working line shepherds really required. At only 5 months the puppies were almost uncontrollable and crazy strong. We immediately called Mike for his help and decided on the two week basic obedience drop off. There is no one I would trust more with my shepherds and the results were night and day in behavior change. In addition to completely correcting their behaviors Mike did an amazing job in tailoring a training schedule that specifically worked for my dogs given their energy and strength levels. After the first week, Mike brought us all in to learn how to handle the dogs and as always with his great patience gave the necessary direction to effectively handle them. I can say with confidence that in our case and in so many others that we have heard its normally the handler that really needs the training and Mike really emphasizes on this to create a strong working bond between you and your dog. If you are having problems with your dog do not hesitate in calling, it will literally be one of the best decisions you make. Royce and Jett will be returning to Champion Dog training for more advanced courses and protection training and we can't thank Mike and his family enough for what they do.

Incredible! Mike uses to train all the BSO dogs for nearly 40 years. I did the beginning on leash training with my 10 week old puppy. Mike knows exactly how to work with dogs, he will tell you what you need to improve on and how to fix it. The reps at home are crucial. After the beginners course my (now 4mo old) puppy is more obedient than my gfs 8 year old minpin. Highly recommend for on leash training and obedience.

This review is long overdue. I completed both Basic Obedience Training and Advanced Training for my German Shepherd, Kylo, with Mike. Before finding Mike and reading all his reviews on google and Yelp, I visited 2 other training facilities that were closer in location and trained dogs using treats. After much research I found that some owners from those training facilities would have the issue of their dog anticipating the conditioning of being given a treat and they would continue to act out; deeply rooted behavioral issue. Mike is by far the best investment I have done. I went to him when my dog was 12 weeks old and then again when he was 5 months old. He is now just over a year and +80lbs. My dog is incredibly receptive to all my commands and is well behaved when walking outside on the leash around people and other dogs (especially NOT pulling on the leash and walking by my side). I have witnessed Mike work with dogs of all breeds from an 8lb yorkie to his 130lb Cane Corse, italian mastiff. He is skilled beyond measure in this field and second to none with dog training. He was incredibly flexible with my limited schedule and offered so much advice to in-home training. I suggest following all his recommendations as he is the professional. The training does not end when you leave Mike, you must be compliant with his training at home on your own time; this goes for any dog training or anything you learn in life. Repetition and practice makes perfect. I do believe he does have a program where you can leave your pet with him for a certain number of days/weeks. He's a personable guy and completely committed to his craft.

We have tried multiple dog trainers with our 9 months old Lab Retriever. We have noticed lots of inconsistency in his behavior and lack of results. Everything changed after we started the training program with Mike Clark. It was truly amazing how fast he changed his bad habits- pulling, jumping, running, biting , and became obedient and responsive to commands. Save yourselves money and tome! Do not experiment and go with the pro. IT'S WORTH IT. Axel graduated the basic training program and we will continue with the next advanced level.

Mike is awesome man! Before going to Mike I looked and looked for weeks on where I would take my puppy for training because I didn’t want to just go anywhere and get nothing out of it but time and money spent. I stumbled upon his name on a website that listed dog trainers in your area and believe me I’m thankful I was patient and found him. He knows his stuff very well and teaches you how to train your dog so that you develop that bond with your family member so that he listens to you when you tell him a command. Then again he’s been doing this stuff for over 37 years. What better trainer to have than a K9 officer who not only trained police K9 dogs but actually built the Broward County Sheriff Departments K-9 unit. After the first week I noticed a difference when walking my dog Zeus. He makes sure you understand everything he teaches you so that you can go home and continue on with your dog and with consistency comes results. Don’t waste your time going to those cheaper places like petsmart and spend a little extra money and have a one on one session with the man himself. This isn’t a company where he uses his name and bio to sell the service, he’s the one you deal with and shows you everything.
