I can’t say enough good things about CGS K9 services. We have used both their training and boarding services. I inherited a large dog and I wanted to make sure I could manage him. He stayed with Gabe and Jennifer for a month. When he came home, he was so much more manageable. We currently use their boarding services every couple weeks. At this point, we are sharing custody of our dog. I can tell that they are good to Blackie because he gets excited when I tell him we are going to see Gabe and Jennifer. I am so thankful for CGS K9 Services. Their training and boarding have helped me keep my brother’s dog.

I originally chose not to leave a detailed review, but after seeing the response stating there is no record of my dog’s stay, I feel it’s important to share my experience. In June of last year, my husband and I boarded our dog here for one week; this was our first time ever leaving her since adopting her. We were understandably nervous and chose this facility based on positive reviews. Before her stay, I clearly communicated that she was crate trained and had only ever had one accident in her crate, so I expected to be informed if anything out of the ordinary occurred. When we picked her up, she smelled extremely foul despite being told she had been bathed. She also had feces stuck to her, which was very concerning. That same day, she began urinating every 10 minutes, which was highly unusual for her. We ended up taking her to an emergency vet, where she was diagnosed with a UTI. The vet indicated this could be caused by prolonged time in a crate without proper bathroom breaks. When I followed up, I was then told she had “a couple of accidents,” which had never been communicated to us, despite us checking in multiple times during her stay and being told everything was fine. Given her history and what I had shared ahead of time, this lack of communication was especially concerning. Since that experience, we have used another boarding facility multiple times and have never had any similar issues. Our dog returns home clean, healthy, and happy, and we receive regular updates and photos during her stay. I am not leaving this review to be hurtful, but to honestly reflect our experience and help other pet owners make informed decisions.
