Im terminally ill but my em's dog turned dog aggressive after a stray attacked injuring both of us. I live in idaho but could come to Santa Clarita, can you help me?

Dear Vicki, I am a disabled canine assisted individual. We we also attacked by rogue dog during training with Jenny. It was fortunate her older and larger brother was well trained and repulsed the attack(s) efficiently. We too suffered as a result of "bad dog ownership". So the answer is not a short one but will take some committed dedication to your pups confidence. In short, take the time to reassure your pup before each and every encounter. Praise her calm assured state and even offer a quality reward. The dog does remember, but you do. So you will also have to consciously practice doggy forgiveness but act in advance before the crisis begins. We are in Edmonton, AB. We are not attached to Cesar's school, but our common experiences and use of calm control has been essential in Jenny's calm controlled state in public. Be your dogs calm controlled leader. Lead by example and your dog will follow. Praise and reward good behavior. Do not allow the bad. I hope this helps.

Question on Google
Is there anyone in or near Wilmington,N.C. that does the same kind of training that Cesar does. I have an aggressive Shi Sue/ breed that the wife and I dearly love but he is so possessive we cannot have company or take him places. HELP!

I would have to say call the facility and see if they can refer you to someone that has taken his course and that lives in your area. He teaches people from all over the country and all over the world.

Question on Google
i have a dog supposedly part poodle part shitzu . Long story short there is no groomer in los angeles who can groom him around the mussel . He bares his teeth and will actually attack you. Can he be trained?

Yes he can. Both of you need to be trained.. its not just the dog but we as humans need to understand our dogs.

Question on Google
Our dog refuses the food we offer her. We have made several changes to appease her, but nothing works, any suggestions?

The question is what have you been feeding her? If you are feeding pedigree and she doesn't like it try fresh meat. Also if she is unhappy she won't eat. 1. Food preferences 2. Mental state.

Question on Google
My neighbor has 2 dachsunds and a german sheperd. They are fenced in with a wooden fence and can't see outside. everything they hear makes them bark. what can i do to help?

Maybe cutting up holes in the fence could help. If worried about safety then add a glass or metal mesh to the cut section would help.

Question on Google
I live in West Virginia and I have a husky that is petrified of his leash and I can’t get it on him to go for a walk. He’s about 6 months old I need help he’s hyper and I can’t drain his energy because of this. Please help he’s driving me nuts!

Thank you he has a fenced in area where he uses the bathroom no garden around and he’s not neutered yet. Treats do not work I’ve tried everything from dog treats and kibbles to lunch meat to carrots. I’ve found a dog trainer my neighbor is trying her out first. If she cannot fix his issue what’s the next step to talk to you?

Community answer · Derek Meluzio · 2020-09-21

does something happened with the leash? Dogs in nature dont have leashes, they just follow the leader on instinct. So, rewarding him with favorite snack, you have to traín at home putting on and off the leash, first show him the leash, let him sniff It but not bite, make him confortable on leash, step 2 let him turn around you, in circles. Be patient, practice 15 minutes every day for as long It takes. Maybe a well behaved neighbour-dog and owner can help! Dogs copy behavior. If even that, you cant manage, call a professional trainer in your área. wish you the BEST! One question, where do you keep your dog now yo do his poo y pee? In a garden? Biking is the best for huskys to my experiencie.

Question on Google
How can I get my 1yr old queenzland heeler to stop bolting out n running away from me unexpectedly everytime we go out.

Keep your dog on a leash until it's trained. Take the dog biking to burn off energy before you walk it, and do obedience exercises like fetch. Or join an agility group. Or join an obedience group once a week until it accepts you as the leader of the pack, but be strict. No means no, always. You can also use a bench when you're not supervising because the "sssst" or "no" command only works when it does something forbidden. Keep it up! And never elicit pity. A dog on its bench, bed, or the floor, not on your bed or sofa, because little by little it will take over your space.

Question on Google
I have been wondering if is ok for my puppy to go on the furniture. Right now we are not letting him on the furniture

That is up to you. Leaders invite the pup on the furniture if they want to. You have the choice to allow it or not. You also have the choice to ask the dog to get off the furniture. My dogs wait to be invited.

Question on Google
My adopted husky will NOT stop pulling. I've tried to emulate Cesars techniques. No luck. Its exhausting walking her. I need help!

Have you tried a water bottle vest? They are vests that you can attach 2 liter bottles of frozen water which will 1 way them down which causes more work to pull (which gives the environment of pulling a sled and items which is what they are bred for) while running, walking, biking, hiking whatever you like to do and 2 the ice will cool them down while doing so. Also "exercise" isn't always the only thing to wear out a husky. They are job dogs so extreme busy bodies. They need something to keep their brain and body active. You can do this as training them new tricks or service dog training etc. Good luck!

Have you tried a slip lead around the head right nehind the ears?

Community answer · Bee and Me · 2018-09-21

Remember to say, and important is IF you understand who to get it right 👍 so your dog can fell it. Your dog have to been with you Rigth hand, hole you dog in to legs so when dog try to 'take over take the leash up,_to the right legs so dogs feel It's Yours control. Husky os a worker, Yervy clever. 🐾🔥💚❤️

Community answer · Lotte c Kalsbøll · 2025-10-21

It's the slip lead that is the answer. It controls the head. Or a halty works as well.

I enjoy watching their programs; it must be a great place for the recovery and rehabilitation of dogs so they can live better lives. A good place indeed.

However, it's not the place you can just turn up, and you can't go inside, which is a shame, so apart from the exterior, we saw nothing else. She did leave Cesar a postcard in his mailbox... Hopefully he'll reply. Update: Two months later, he's not replied to the postcard. Guess he's just too busy. Cesar, your fans love you, show some love buddy! 🤩

A peaceful and spiritual place, a fascinating, nature-loving, peace-loving, and wise man. He built this center with his own hands to help people give themselves and their dogs more freedom. I have immense respect for such willpower, patience, and perseverance. For all his fans: Cesar is just like he is on TV—sympathetic, empathetic, and very friendly.

I always watch it on National Geographic from Japan. My two Great Pyrenees are fortunately well-behaved dogs, so I haven't had much trouble, but it's been quite helpful. It's true that dogs can sense their owner's anxiety. My daughter used to be like that. She would get scared of other dogs when she met them during walks. Even dogs much smaller than my Pyrenees would make her anxious. She's fine now. It's what Caesar often says: dogs can sense their owner's feelings. When an owner is anxious, dogs bark to protect them! It's very informative.
