I have to start by saying I am one of those “I love my dog more than most people” type of person. Our pup is 5 years old and we recently had a baby. Our dog (Clayton) always loved people but was terrible about how to get attention…the jumping, the barking, the constant being all over everyone the moment they walked in the door…it was embarrassing and I felt like I spent more time yelling at him to get down and leave people alone than I did actually enjoying my company. The terrible attention seeking got worse after the baby….which I kind of expected. I called our vet and they recommended certified canine services. Our vet actually took his dog there. I called and spoke with Rachel. She was very honest and very upfront, which I appreciated, since this is my fur baby. We decided on the four week program. Dropping him off was so hard….and I totally called the next day to check on him….Rachel laughed when I said “I swear I’m not going to call every day” but she was not at all annoyed by it and gave me an update on how he did over night (he had never been boarded before). When I tell you we picked up a different dog today I am not exaggerating. He was still himself….but behaved. He’s been great since he’s been home. And I even though it was hard being without him for 4 weeks it’s the best decision we’ve made for him and for us. Our pick up was great. We were given plenty of time for all of our questions. I did not feel rushed out the door. They worked with us with Clayton. I really felt comfortable bringing him home and taking the reigns. Highly highly recommended!!!! I was concerned about his age….and he is stubborn…..but they figured it out and made it work!! I also have to add when we picked Clayton up I could tell he was genuinely happy…..and that he was well taken care of while he was there.

Certified canine did an amazing job with my black lab puppy! When we got him, I broke my leg and they went absolutely above and beyond with boarding and training that suited my needs in that hard time. Teddy is the most well behaved puppy. We constantly get compliments every where we go regarding his excellent behavior. This training is truly life changing. Not only does it make our lives easier to have a well behaved dog, it makes our relationship with him even better because we have a great way to communicate with him in a way we both understand! As very active hikers, it is amazing that we have a dog that listens and respects us. This training allows us to take Teddy on our hikes and just about anywhere that allows dogs and know with confidence that he will behave and listen to us. Excellent job Certified Canine, you truly change lives!

Thank you, Certified Canines! I am so happy our 10 month old puppy completed the four week training program. With an active household with three elementary age children we were struggling with a consistent training routine that worked for us, and our puppy was often too out of hand for our children to help out with or want to play with. The high activity level of our children also made it hard for our puppy to focus. We struggled with our puppy play biting, chewing up our home, excited peeing in the house, jumping on company, and ignoring commands without excessive treating. Normal everyday activities like putting dishes away, laundry, or not being able to leave the puppy unattended for two minutes without crating were problematic and stressing everyone out. This was really hard for us because we were dedicating time to training, classes, and getting in a lot of exercise. After reading reviews online, we decided to make the investment, even our results were half as good what we read about. I was also nervous about the Dogtra collar. Certified Canines was a miracle for us! Everyone we worked with was incredibly professional and knowledgeable and they really care about the dogs. We learned a better way to communicate with our puppy, and after learning how to use the e-collar, it is such a more peaceful and effective way to communicate and make a correction rather than over relying on treats and getting stressed out. Our puppy is happier, our children love helping with the dog, and we are having the experience of having a family pet that we always wanted. The program was big investment, but it was completely worth it. I especially recommend the program to busy families that have the time to care for a dog, could use help laying down a good foundation to work with.

We sent our 2 year old Saint Bernard for problems with extreme anxiety and bad behavior. She came back to us polite, well behaved, excited to be around people and other dogs again. She’s no longer anxious and she follows her commands like a pro. No more pulling on walks and I’m able to take her into stores with no problems. The staff at certified canine kept me involved in her training and care through phone calls and were always happy to answer any questions. It was clear watching our dog at pickup how much care and attention they’ve given her during her stay with them. I would recommend them to anyone!
