We were very impressed with everything that Casper's Camp Hope did for our dog, Trooper, over the several months we had him stay and train. Having rescued him, we weren't sure of his background and needed a lot of guidance in correcting some of his bad habits. We were having significant issues when taking Trooper on walks - with him lunging at squirrels and at other dogs - and felt very overwhelmed. He was also very territorial with food, particularly at meal time and around our other dog. When we came for in-person training, Jimmy was patient, knowledgeable, and provided easy-to-understand techniques for us to follow. Since having Trooper back home, we have seen a dramatic improvement. He is much calmer and happier and a lot more receptive to instruction and us using the command words. We highly recommend Casper's Camp Hope if you want to restore peace in your home and we saw a change in Trooper immediately. All of our questions and concerns were answered in detail, and they provided all of the necessary tools for us to be the best leader for him. We feel more confident as dog owners and can’t wait to see how Trooper continues to improve. It was also wonderful to see the reels of Trooper and other dogs documenting their progress.

Jimmy, the main trainer, is truly wonderful and extremely knowledgeable—he clearly understands dog behavior, explained everything in a way we could follow, and gave us practical tools we could use at home. His calm, confident approach helped Poe feel safe while still being challenged to learn. Naomi and Dania were also excellent throughout Poe’s training. They were kind, patient, and clearly invested in Poe’s progress, and it really felt like a team effort around our dog. Communication was a huge strong point: we received frequent updates, photos, and clear instructions, which made the whole process very convenient and reassuring for our family. Poe is already less nervous and reactive, and he’s becoming much more focused and obedient. We know training is a journey, but thanks to Jimmy, Naomi, and Dania, we feel like Poe finally has the structure, tools, and confidence he needs—and so do we. We would happily recommend Casper’s Place in Gainesville to anyone looking for thoughtful, results‑oriented training for a sensitive or reactive dog.
