Cascadia Canine Training School

Wow, we learned so much in just 1.5 hours! We needed training for our 5 year old cattle dog mix, which we should have done sooner, but Brian worked with our pup whose habits were well established and we instantly saw results. He also helped us realize the ‘why’ behind the behaviors and how her breeds play into her personality. While we’ve only had one session so far, we left with so much information and had such a great experience with Brian. His approach is effective and he has a lot of experience and knowledge. He gave us time to ask questions and get answers. We’ve continued implementing the training at home for the past few days and it’s working! I’d highly recommend Cascadia Canine for any age dog.

We adopted a one-year old mix breed dog from the Bend shelter about six weeks ago. The pup is everything we hoped for, except for a complete lack of training. We initially had a session with another trainer here in Bend (won't mention the name), but found the session to be of little benefit and I started feeling a sense of discouragement about getting our pup (and me) the training that is needed. I went to my first session with Bryan at Cascadia Canine Training School somewhat expecting more disappointment. Instead, I was blown away at Bryan's ability to immediately start to instill basic commands to which our pup responded. While doing this, Bryan explained why he was doing each step in our pup's training. As a result, everything started making sense as to what I needed to do to reinforce what our pup had learned during the initial session, which will be followed up with three more sessions. I highly recommend Cascadia Canine Training School.

Bryan was excellent—he quickly helped me see the underlying causes of my dog’s behavior, which was a game changer. Instead of quick fixes, he gave me simple, practical tools to work on things at home. I left feeling much more confident and clear on what to do next. I can already tell it’s going to lead to a better, more relaxed relationship with my dog, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with him.

Highly recommend Bryan and his team at CascadiaK9. I brought my dog to the 90 minute Intro to Balanced training and can’t believe how much he was able to run through in that amount of time. It is clear how intentional they are about their system and how passionate they are about dogs. I really appreciated how Bryan didn’t just provide training; he explained the reasoning behind it. I walked away having learned a ton about my dog’s motivations and feel confident in my ability to guide him in the right direction.

Were are pleased to give a great review to trainer Bryan Castleberry for assisting us with the training of our new five year old Australian Shepherd dog (Ben) that we rescued three months ago. The training methods that we used for years were not working properly to correct our dog's excessive barking and we were also discouraged when our dog would ocassionally growl at other dogs and people during our daily walks.
