Thanks for your feedback. It's unfortunate things didn’t end on a better note. I’ve put in a lot of effort over the years to make things work—not just for your dog, but to accommodate your shifting preferences and repeated schedule challenges. That said, there came a point where the arrangement was no longer workable. In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently is made it more clear that our working relationship had reached its end. I have other clients, dogs under my care, and responsibilities outside of this job. I run a small business, not a 24-hour service desk. Expectations around flexibility started to outweigh what I could reasonably offer, especially with little regard for the guidelines I had in place. When I communicated the need for a short break to regroup—something I don’t take lightly—you responded with pressure and pushback, making it harder to create the space I needed. A similar pattern came up around vacation plans. Rather than giving me room to plan, I was met with insistence and urgency that simply wasn’t appropriate. Boundaries aren’t personal; they’re necessary. And unfortunately, maintaining a healthy dynamic just didn’t seem possible anymore. I genuinely wish Ollie all the best—he was always a sweet dog.
