Cape Fearless Dog Training

We initially reached out to Maya because we recently adopted a Chihuahua mix who had issues with resource guarding, fear of strangers and would freeze up on walks. We also have a pitty baby who needed help with confidence building and getting in the car. Maya was incredibly knowledgeable every single session. Not only did she help teach our dogs something that stuck every session but it was easy for us to learn and further implement into our dogs lives. We’re so happy with how our chi mix has opened up, isn’t resource guarding and now enjoys seeing people on walks! Our pitty is more confident and is making strides with his fear of getting in the car. Maya was able to help both our dogs and we couldn’t recommend her enough!

I can’t recommend Maya enough! Our dog Marrow was very nervous and scared of everything. Working with Maya helped me to understand his triggers and why he reacted the way he did. She was very professional and patient with us, and knew exactly what Marrow needed to feel comfortable. He has become so much more confident now and I feel I also understand him better. There’s always more work to do but I feel like Maya gave us the foundations to build towards him being a more confident dog, and I can’t thank her enough.

Our experience with Maya was excellent. She met our dogs and analyzed their behavior and figured out their 'triggers' and why they were reactive on leash quickly. She was great at teaching us how to handle them on walks and how to handle their triggers and use positive reinforcement to help them succeed. We think Maya is the best and if you need a trainer for your dogs, you won't regret calling Maya!
