CANIS - Dog Behavior & Training

I could not be happier with our experience at Canis Dog Training and the 4-week board and train program with Hunter. The transformation in our Cali girl was incredible. Hunter’s knowledge, patience, and professionalism were obvious from day one, and he truly cared about building confidence and good behavior — not just quick fixes. Cali came home calmer, more obedient, better on leash, and much more responsive to commands! Canis and Hunter also did an excellent job teaching me how to continue the training at home so the results would last long-term. The communication throughout the program was outstanding, with regular updates, progress reports, and videos that showed just how much progress was being made. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dog was in such capable hands. If you are considering a board and train program, I highly recommend Canis Dog Training and of course Hunter. Also, a shout out to Brennen who was the trainer that conducted the initial Puppy Academy that we did early on. The investment was absolutely worth it, and the results exceeded my expectations. High class operation!!

We've now had two of our dogs complete the 6 week board and train course with our lead trainer Kaitlyn. Not only is she great at her day job (the training part), but she really cares about the dogs, which was just as important to me (it's hard sending your dog somewhere for over a month!). But you could tell immediately how much both of my dogs loved working with her, and every week we visited for training, you could see that work clearly pay off. Both Kaitlyn and Brent really went so far above and beyond helping us navigate our dog's behavior issues at home, I just can't recommend them enough. The same goes for every trainer at Canis. It doesn't matter who you're speaking to, they'll know your dog like she's their own, and you'll feel like you're part of the tight knit Canis family. Olive and Rose miss you all!!!

Thank you very much for a wonderful first day at camp for Willow. Being a reactive dog, finding a safe place for her to learn dog etiquette in a safe and well controlled space is what we have been trying to find her after 2 years of training. I’m sure there will be bumps in the road ahead, but we could not be more happy after the communications from your team today, the videos and reassuring review. We look forward to having her with you next week too!
