CANIS - Dog Behavior & Training

We had two dogs that did not get along and would get in aggressive fights. One dog we only had for two weeks and the other 2 years. Canis and their fantastic owner Brent and the amazing trainers there worked with both of the dogs each week we saw eye opening improvements on each of them. We still have a way to go for both of them but I feel so confident now that they have a chance of being in the same family with us and the fact that they listen to us now is unbelievable. Would hands down recommend Canis to anyone and everyone

Brent and his team at CANIS are amazing! Everything from their group classes to private training to boarding program have made a huge difference for my dog and I. They are knowledgable, patient, and highly skilled in working with all types of dogs and behaviors. Their emphasis on education, sustainable training methods, and building confident dogs (and owners) is what sets them apart. I can't recommend them enough.

Thank you Hunter & the CANIS team for positively changing my life & helping my dogs (ages 6 & 11) become the best versions of themselves. I did not think the level of improvement I have seen was possible. They worked with me to implement training systems that are sustainable and fit with my schedule. The team was honest & communicative about the amount of training recommended and I did not feel they tried to upsell me as another training center may have. Highly recommend CANIS.

I would definitely give a 5 star rating. Zelda is a completely different dog after her stay at CANIS. Each week I could see a difference in her and it was really impressive to see how much she's grown. Her improvements in potty training, pulling and reacting have been the biggest relief for us. She makes better decisions most days, and is really settling down into a dog we can take out and have around the kids more. I really love the attention to train us as well. Jaime, our trainer, explained things very clearly and was so kind to answer all my questions fully. I'm very grateful for her work with Zelda and us in conquering some huge challenges we had. I feel more confident in my ability to communicate with her and train her after one on ones with Jaime. Also, group sessions are very valuable. I love the continued access to group training because I really want to get her to her full potential. Her and I learn so much from the classes that CANIS offers and I look forward to continuing those in the future. I also really appreciate all the staff there. When I had to go out of town i was really worried about boarding her somewhere that wouldn't take good care of her. Especially so soon after her surgery. Though, they took great care of her as always. She got her medication she needed and didn't reopen her stitches while there which I was worried about. Im always happy to see how excited or comfortable she is with different staff members who greet her while we're there. Shows she's really taken care of while I'm away and that is so important. I also love how different staff members have helped me in ways unrelated to training. Three different trainers gave me different advice to help with her skin or stomach issues, and that's improved her quality of life as well. We are so grateful to all of you at CANIS and definitely suggest you to all our family and friends when they see the difference in Zelda.
