We just had a baby so the dynamic of our house has changed leading to some undesirable behavior from our dogs (overstimulation from new and constant visitors, jumping to greet, some resource guarding, etc). Most trainers just want to instruct on obedience but what I most appreciate about Scott is he assessed the behavior we were concerned about and tailored the training specific to our dogs. Scott was able to show us techniques to counter condition and redirect our dog to behaviors we want to see. I’m so happy to say that we have made significant progress in just a few short weeks and I’m confident we will continue to!

Scott is such a great dog trainer, I was so fed up with our puppy and researched training, when CTRG showed up. So thankful we reached out, after just two sessions, I can’t believe she’s the same dog! I watch Scott with my mouth open and in awe of it all! While training, I expressed our concern with taking her with us on vacation and Scott mentioned he boards dogs he trains, what a relief and a piece of mind! We knew she was in great hands! Scott boarded my dogs while I was on vacation, and he also provided some training too. He was so patient and kind with my reserved/ anxious dog. My dog generally doesn't take well to new people, but Scott took the time to work with Moose. This made such a difference! Scott helped Moose adjust well to his new environment and eased all his anxiety. He also watched my beagle/bulldog and did amazing with her as well. Both my dogs seemed very comfortable and happy at pickup...I was amazed at how well my reserved dog did with Scott. It was evident he took extra time with my dog to ensure he was not afraid during my absence. Scott also sent me an email afterwards, detailing their boarding stay, the behaviors observed, and the training provided to my pups. I'm very satisfied with Scott's boarding services! Scott is an amazing trainer. We adopted a German Shepard that we later found to have anxiety issues. After about a year we sought out a trainer to help and Scott came through. He was able to help us understand our furry friend better along with homework in between sessions to continue the training at home. He also provided great recommendations on items that can help along with videos for further assistance. Highly recommended!!

As others have shared, Scott really is an amazing trainer but he's so much more. My wife and I found ourselves at our wits end with our 6 year old Catahoula. We had raised our dog since he was a pup and all was good. Unfortunately, over time we began seeing what seemed like random acts of aggression from him and we had no idea what to do. At the height of our struggles we consulted with people who claimed to be focused on Catahoula rescue and rehoming. These groups were no help, some returned only judgement, one even suggested putting our dog down (this was not an option). Thankfully, Scott turned everything around for us. Beyond acting as a trainer, Scott was a consultant, a guide, and a friend. We discussed every path forward possible and elected to pursue a six week one-on-one training session. Scott made the effort to detail his plan extremely well and provided status updates regularly. While the time away from our pup was a struggle at times we were able to visit during his training, when it suited his training. At the end of his training session Scott spent time helping us and our dog adjust to his returning home. To aid in his, and our continued success Scott helped us develop a detailed schedule and provided extensive notes outlining realistic expectations. While our future relationship with our dog may be a different one than we had planned its no less rewarding. Thanks to Scott we're able to have a relationship that is fulfilling to our dog as well as us. I simply cannot recommend Scott and CTRG enough and I thank him for his efforts, direction, and continued support.
