So my wife and I had our hearts melted by a pair of 3 mo old Welsh Corgi puppies, so we took a leap of faith and adopted the brothers. Wow, we soon were a bit over our heads with the combined energy of these little guys, BUT, to our great good fortune, Linda Porter came to our rescue! We enrolled Buster & Jack in Linda’s puppy basics course, and we could not be more pleased!! Linda is a true-to-life “dog whisperer” as she instinctively knew what each of our little guys needed to start them off on the road to cool adult dog status. Also, no small factor,……Linda was as patient with us as our pups! She gave us the tools to continue getting our guys ready for the real world, and we are very grateful to have found her! Thanks a million, Linda…..we will come back for some continuing training when we return from our winter retreat down south in the spring!! I highly recommend this establishment! Linda (owner/operator) is very educated and experienced in canine learning and behavior. From teaching basic/foundational obedience to problem solving behavioral issues, Linda will help you and your canine companion live that "happily ever after." Additionally, if you would like to learn and/or maximum you and your canine's performance in tracking/trailing, then this is the place for you! John and Linda are not only exceptional coaches, but they have the knowledge and real world experience to back it up.

I am doing this review for my hysband, Bill Balhiser who is a volunteer at the Humane Society. Bill was working with Will, a wonderful dog at the Shelter, who had been there for a long time and was not adopted because of behavioral issues. Linda at the Canine Training Academy offered to work with Will and my husband on these issues. Over several weeks she helped Will become a well mannered, very adoptable dog. Even before he completed his training, Will was adopted by a wonderful couple and now has a great forever home. Linda made this possible, and Bill can"t recommend her highly enough.

We adopted Willow from the local humane society. He had been there for over a year and when he came into our home, we couldn't believe this sweet brute spent that much time in the shelter. Well...it turns out that he wasn't always so well behaved. Linda had volunteered her services to get Willow in shape for his forever home and she did an excellent job. When we heard she was the one who trained him, we were thrilled because she had helped us train our pup about 6 months before and we loved her and her team. Thanks to a local donor, we were also gifted even more training classes for Willow and everyday he becomes a little closer to his best self. Can't recommend them enough!

Training with Linda and her team has been a great help to my family. We have had two pups complete basic training with Linda and boy, what a difference that has made! Not only does Linda help train your dog, she really helps you, the human, evaluate yourself and learn proper skills to being a good dog parent. She has equipped us with many different skills to ensure we are successful in providing a good life for our dogs and for ourselves as well.
