Canine State of Mind

They say all dogs go to heaven, well Canine State of Mind is as close to heaven on earth that I have ever seen! Sasha has created a sanctuary for dogs that provides exactly what they need to succeed, I believe she has over 600 acres of land! Her knowledge of dogs is second to none and I wouldn’t want to send my animals anywhere else. I first heard of Sasha on the Paul Check podcast where I was immediately drawn to her which led me to reading her book, Peaceful Dog Mastery. So much powerful information! I couldn’t be more pleased with Sasha, and I am forever grateful for what she did for my dogs and me.

Sasha and her team at CSOM have been such a blessing to our family. We found her about nine years ago with our dog Bernie, who runs to get in the van for his vacations at the farm. It gives us such peace of mind to know he is receiving the highest quality care while we are away. We recently added a new puppy to the family and Sasha has been incredibly helpful during our education sessions, educating us on why our older dog was behaving differently and puppy behaviors as well. She understands dogs on a deeper level than most dog trainers and has a profound respect for them as well. Our puppy went to board with her for two weeks recently and came back with so much confidence and such an improvement in our two dogs relationship with one another. I highly recommend Sasha and Canine State of Mind to anyone seeking the best advice and care for their dog.

We have used Canine State of Mind for many years now for our sighthounds. I never worry about our dogs when we leave them with Sasha as I know that Sasha and her team will take excellent care of them and make the best decisions available if need arises. Both of our dogs have benefitted greatly from their stays at Canine State of Mind. Our old unneutered show dog loved being able to play in a pack while boarding. Our younger dog suffers from separation anxiety, but stays with Sasha have built his confidence all around and he now whines eagerly to jump into her car when she picks him up. Our dogs have always returned to us relaxed and calm having enjoyed a great vacation in a healthy (and healthy minded) setting in the country.

I brought a 6 month old Australian cattle dog to canine state of mind. Lauren had been neglected by the backyard breeder and was completely shut down indoors, and outdoors could not walk on a leash. She was a fearful and unhappy pup. After 6 weeks with Sasha, Lauren now enjoys being inside with other dogs and can walk on a leash. She has been home for 2 weeks now, and she has a sassy personality. There are still some hurdles for her to cross, but that will come with time. Every few days, Lauren gains a little more confidence in her new surroundings and that's a beautiful thing to see, thanks to Sasha at canine state of mind.

We highly recommend Canine State of Mind (CSOM) for both reference and assistance with your dogs. Sasha Armstrong who owns and coordinates all parts of the facility, is knowledgeable and compassionate. She shares a connection with and offers compassion for all dogs, especially those entrusted to her for overnight stays. Dog owners and their dogs can benefit from insight she offers through on line courses or live conversation. Lastly, our dogs have returned from their stays at CSOM facility happy and healthy, something I cannot say about other facilities we used prior to discovering CSOM. We, and our dogs, highly recommend CSOM!!
