Canine Solutions

This is my second review! My hound dog below passed away at 15 year olds. Another five stars for my 2 new dogs. I adopted a stray dog that was terrified of people (Sammy). She would bark and carry on every time anybody approached her. When I walked her, she would jerk at the end of her lease, trying to get away from people on the trail. I have other dogs and it made everything so difficult! I did a board and train with canine solutions. Dawn worked her magic! Sammy learned all her basic commands and gained a ton of confidence. Dawn instructed me on how to keep working with Sammy at home. She’s a happy, well-adjusted part of my pack now. Last year, I took in another dog (Ikwe). She was just a rowdy. I couldn’t do anything with her. She was just all puppy. Dawn trained her in all her basic commands. Both dogs come immediately when you call them. I highly recommend Dawn! She’s brilliant with dogs. I adopted a hound dog from a shelter. She would take off so fast I could not catch her. We also could not walk because she pulled so hard on her collar. I took her to Canine Solutions, and Dawn worked a miracle. Within two weeks, Cinnamon would come when I called her, and we could walk off-leash. She learned her basic commands, which made life much easier. I cannot say enough about the work Dawn did with Cinnamon. Thank you!

We took Duke our red lab to Canine Solutions. Duke knew some basic commands he would sit, shake, fetch the ball ( but not always drop it when he brought it back), and he would stay in his yard. Some things we really wanted Dawn to work with were jumping if someone came in his yard or walked in the house he was jumping. At times he wanted to play to rough and wouldn't take stop or no for an answer. Walking on a leash was not always the easiest with him he would try to pull me or just go back and forth in front of me. When we picked Duke up it was amazing to see the difference in how he listened and did what was asked with each command. We brought him home and continued to work with him a little each day like she said and he still is doing great and we are working on some new tricks with him. Dawn truly cares about the dogs she trains I could tell the minute I saw Duke with her he had made a new friend. He was a good dog before taking him but Dawn gave Duke and us the tools we needed to make him a great dog.

I can’t say enough good things about Dawn! From the very beginning, she was excellent at communicating and keeping me updated on my pup’s progress during his basic obedience training. Her facility is clean, well-kept, and you can instantly tell she truly loves dogs and understands how to “speak their language.” When we brought our 5-month-old puppy in, he was still very much in his bitey/jumpy phase. Just two weeks later, we noticed such a positive change—he hasn’t bitten or jumped on us since! Dawn instilled great discipline and structure in him, but always in a way that showed her genuine care and love for animals. We are so grateful for the foundation she has given our pup and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who gets real results while still prioritizing the well-being of your dog.
