Canine Scholars Dog Training

Canine Scholars was recommended to me by a neighbor after I asked how and why her dog was so well behaved! Both Chris (adult training) and Michael (puppy training) trained all three of our large breed dogs. We have been very pleased with each training session. The dogs have been well taken care of, well treated and returned to us in great shape. Even though it is training and work our dogs have 'enjoyed' their time away. This is evident by the dogs excitement when they have seen Chris and/or Michael weeks/months after training for boarding. More importantly though, the dogs are returned to us well trained and we are armed with tools and tips on how to reinforce and maintain the training at home. Highly recommend!!

We sent our 8 month old puppy to the 2 week board and train with the goal of a well trained dog. When it was time to get Luca back, Chris spent one on one time with us showing us all Luca has learned, how we can implement it, and how we can correct it. Walking Luca is so much more enjoyable now! He now walks by our side, pays attention to us, and is way less reactive to people and animals walking by than he used to be. Luca is now able to “place” in a busy park! Nothing we could’ve achieved without Canine Scholars. They are very in tune with dogs and have so many tips and tricks. This was a great investment! Having a well trained dog is invaluable! We were thrilled to discover Jason and his company, Canine Scholars Training. Our golden retriever, Hadley Rose started her training with Jason at 6 months old. Jason met with us and listened to our goals and then worked to achieve them. He is truly like the "dog whisperer!" Hadley immediately took to him and followed his direction. We too, as puppy parents listened to Jason's insightful advise and worked with Hadley. It was so convenient for Jason to meet with us at our home in Hadley's normal environment. We too, traveled to local parks to add in plenty of distractions so Hadley could really learn how to behave in public arenas. Jason and his team at Canine Scholars gave me back my sanity. Our huge, lovable, energetic pup quickly became a part of our fam but in order for him to stay - we needed serious help! After puppy training and a two week intensive training, we got back a puppy who no longer jumped on people, accidentally ran over kids, placed on command and could be walked without pulling or dragging (and so much more). I’ve been able to enjoy life with our pup more since his time with Jason and his team. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them.
