Canine Revolution Dog Training

We cannot recommend Canine Revolution more! We researched and met with several different trainers in the Charleston/Summerville area and from the initial phone call we knew Canine Revolution was the right choice! Unlike other options for training, they take the time to really understand what the main areas of concern are, rather than a one size fits all approach for every dog. We could tell they genuinely love what they do and care about helping dogs and their families and it shined through! The reviews speak for themselves, they have excellent ratings because they are great! I’m going to focus my review on a different topic that may help some other people searching for a trainer to help with separation anxiety with a rescue dog like we were. Canine revolution helped our rescue dog, Harvey, a Doberman, overcome his separation anxiety and learn to be a more confident dog and handle situations he was unsure of. Prior to sending Harvey to training, we tried all the methods we could, genuinely putting in training every day to help Harvey overcome his separation anxiety. My husband and I were not able to leave our home for 6 months after rescuing, it was that bad. Someone had to be with Harvey or else he was whine, chew things up, pant/pace, and become truly distressed if left alone even just for a minute. After training, Harvey is a more confident dog and knows to “look to us” for guidance and leadership. We learned the correct tools to implement and how to carry on the training protocols Harvey learned. Harvey now looks to us in situations he is nervous or anxious about and feels confident in his training and our training as his owners to be the leader and guider he was in need of. He knows his commands excellently, can be left home alone in his crate and enjoys the calm and quiet, and no longer is distressed when left alone. Danny was Harvey’s lead trainer and you can see that he loves training through and through! He is truly great and you can see he enjoys helping each dog become the best they can be and cares for each one of them. He is very knowledgable and gets to know the dog’s unique personality and areas of struggle to focus on. He is always responsive to any questions we have post training and has been so supportive and invested in Harvey’s success. We have had 3 follow up sessions with him to review and go over any questions or concerns we ran into. The post training support you receive is unmatched! It’s hard to put into words just how appreciative we are to have sent Harvey to Canine Revolution. I could write a 5 page review on why they are the best. But if you’re like my husband and I and are struggling with a rescue dog who needs guidance, structure, confidence, and to help them be the best dog they can be, Canine Revolution is 100% the answer!

Our sweet 60 lb rescue, Buddy, was a handful. We knew he needed professional training when I had to go to the ER, after he got scared and dragged me down the street to get away from someone on a bicycle. Our K9 Revolution trainer, Chris, warned us that fear like this would take time to address. But K9R’s policy for support after the 6 week training session gave us confidence to proceed. Chris did a great job! Buddy learned manners that now make it a pleasure to take him for walks and car rides. More importantly, Buddy learned to calm himself in a “down/place” position, which is really helpful when he’s in stressful situations. Even though he was a little afraid during our first restaurant outing after training, he behaved beautifully in “down/place”. We highly recommend K9R and will continue to learn and improve, along with Buddy.
