Canine Resolution

Have used Canine Resolution off and on (depending on the dogs) for over 15 years, most recently over the past 2 years with two young dogs/puppies. Puppy classes with Howard and Carrie are terrific foundations for both owner and dog. Play is a big part of learning and it's amazing how much you and the puppy learn. We have also done private lessons and group lessons for our now 2 yr old boy, who in spite of himself and his quirks is now a certified and working Therapy dog, largely due to Howard's dedication to getting us (the handlers) where we needed to be. He now has his CGC and CGCA. Most recently (a few months back), we started his sister with Howard in puppy class, and then some one-on-one classes. She will be starting group classes with Howard, and progressing to therapy dog training after that. Howard's bond with the dogs he trains is amazing - they love him (sometimes more than us), and his training methods are simple and easy to learn. Especially if you practice (need to get better at that part). I have also sent friends here - one in particular worked with Marc with a reactive dog. She made terrific progress with him and also highly recommends.

0nly one visit so far but had a very helpful consult with Mark and looking forward to more. Received some valuable information on what is and is not acceptable behavior related to aggression/ resource protection. Adding to review several weeks later. Mark was so helpful in teaching me how to develop an effective relationship with my pup and how to discipline her appropriately when trying to teach her a new skill. Very valuable lessons. I give Marc at Canine Resolution the highest  possible review and recommendation. The investment was 100% worth it and more. Marc is truly an expert in his field. He goes above and beyond in his time and truly cares about the dogs he trains. I rescued Charlie at 5 months old. He was fearful and lacked confidence, but not aggressive. At 10 months old he ran into a moving car. The experience was traumatic for him. After that experience, the fear and lack of confidence got much worse. He became aggressive toward people, lunging at veterinary staff and eventually biting a pet store worker who attempted to trim his nails.  I didn't know what to do or how to give my boy the help he needed. After a few disappointing and frustrating experiences with other local training facilities, I finally came across Training Without Conflict online. I was surprised and hopeful their was a local training facility nearby who was certified in this unique approach - Marc at Canine Resolution. Charlie lived with Marc for 6 weeks for the board and train program.  It was probably one of the best investments I've ever made. I now have a happy and confident dog. Our lives are so much better now. If you're on the fence about who to hire to help your dog, do your research.  Does the approach make sense? Throwing treats and avoidance didn't work for Charlie.  Building relationship and changing how the dog feels about a situation is what helped Charlie. Thank you Marc.
