I had previously been a CPI client under the past ownership in the New England area. The new group in Texas (Alex & Abby who worked with the previous owner) were generous, supportive, professional, and showed a great deal of empathy for our situation. We found ourselves in this part of the country and in desperate need of additional training for behaviors I didn't know how to address, on a whim, I reached out to them. They fit us in for an afternoon on short notice. They worked with both our dogs (the CPI guy and our rescue) even though we were only set up to work with the CPI trained dog. In a couple of hours they had largely corrected the behaviors I had been struggling with and gave me the tools for moving forward on my own as I live cross-country from the Texas facility. Unlike trainers I have worked with in the past, they offered to stay in touch and send video of examples we weren't able to reproduce that afternoon. In addition, they offered to provide additional support through text etc. as we progressed with our new tools. When we ended the session and I headed back to our temporary lodgings in Texas, both Abby and Alex extended the invitation to come back for tune-ups and support any time we are in the area. If there were more than 5 stars, I would give it and I don't give praise lightly,;not when it comes to professionalism, ethics, etc. CPI in Texas is worth your time, effort and resources.

We bought a protection dog from CPI, and we couldn’t be happier. We got Ozzy in October. He has been with us for just over a month now, and he is perfection. We have three kids, two cats, and, now with Ozzy, three dogs. Ozzy fit right in! He’s wonderful with our children. He’s just such a joy. Alex was wonderful to work with as well. He was extremely professional, We were originally matched with a different dog, but after Alex worked with the other dog, he called us up to let us know the dog was probably not a good a fit. I thought this was so professional and confirmed that we made a good choice going with CPI. Alex and his team truly care about making sure their dogs and families fit together. Alex stayed with us for three days and went over absolutely everything. He made sure we were comfortable handling Ozzy. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about CPI. We feel safer knowing Ozzy is with us. But more than that, he’s just a family dog that adds so much joy to our life. We strongly recommend CPI to anyone looking for a protection dog.

I have owned many protection dogs over the last 20 years. During that time, my dogs have been trained by several different professional trainers, including CPI. In my opinion, CPI comes out on top of their competition. For example, I recently asked Alex and Abby to fix a very difficult problem with a very special dog. The problem happened on the watch of a different well respected national protection dog trainer who was tasked with a specific training assignment for my dog. The assignment did not go well. Fortunately, Alex and Abby agreed to try and fix the other trainer’s mistakes. The results have been fantastic. I now have my very smart, very obedient dog back to being happy and responsive without displaying any handler aggression. I couldn’t be happier with how they handled the problem from diagnosing it to coming up an action plan and then carrying it out perfectly. I highly recommend CPI to anyone who is serious about having a happy and responsive protection dog.

We couldn't be happier with the dog Alex and his team selected for us based on our lifestyle. He's the most affectionate and loving dog in our home yet we know in an instant he can turn into a protection dog. During the delivery process it was clear Alex and Abby care deeply about the dogs they sell and provide enough training to their clients so the transition goes as smoothly as possible for the clients and dogs! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend CPI to anyone.
