Working with Lisa has been an absolute pleasure. She is extremely knowledgeable and is the most highly skilled dog trainer I've ever worked with, by far. After just a couple of sessions I feel much better equipped to communicate effectively with my dog and my friends can't believe how much more settled and mature Daisy seems each time they visit. The scent training has really been a game changer. Daisy now has a job to do and she is so much more calm & content. Lisa has my highest recommendation... I feel lucky to have found her! 🐶❤️

We have three dogs training with Lisa, all at different ages and experience levels, and our experience with her has been exceptional. Our more experienced dog, Tequila, attends in-person outdoor nosework classes. Before his very first lesson, Lisa took the time to thoroughly understand his personality, triggers, training history, and current skill level. She explains concepts clearly and always makes sure I fully understand before moving on, which makes the learning process feel calm, supportive, and confidence-building. For every in-person session, she arrives early to set up the search areas in advance, so no class time is wasted and the entire lesson can stay focused and efficient. This level of preparation and professionalism truly stands out. Our two younger dogs, Brandy and Vodka, are enrolled in Lisa’s Zoom Nosework Introduction course. Even online, Lisa is incredibly engaged and thoughtful. Each class comes with clear, well-structured lesson notes, homework assignments, and step-by-step guidance, making the learning process organized and easy to follow. At one point, Brandy showed some resource guarding behaviors after training. Although this is outside the scope of nosework itself, Lisa generously shared practical, actionable training strategies to help us address the issue. She consistently looks at the bigger picture and genuinely cares about each dog’s overall well-being, not just the specific skill being taught. Whether in person or online, Lisa is extremely generous with her knowledge. She adapts her approach thoughtfully for each dog, taking into account their individual learning style, confidence level, and emotional state. She understands each of our dogs as individuals, our multi-dog household dynamics, our home setup, and their unique personalities. It’s very clear that she does far more than simply “teach nosework”; she supports the long-term success of both the dogs and the entire household. Her feedback on homework is always detailed and patient, and when questions come up, she responds quickly and thoughtfully. Working with Lisa feels like having a knowledgeable, reliable training partner, not just attending a class. Lisa is an outstanding instructor who truly wants her students and their dogs to thrive and progress in a safe, thoughtful, and well-rounded way.
