FirstBarkA friend referred me to Dory to help me train my shepherd and I cannot say enough about her knowledge of training. Most importantly, she knows how to communicate to the client! By far training your dog is really training you to train your dog. Her systematic method makes training segments easier to understand and retain. I highly recommend her!

Yes Thank you!! None of the times you had listed will work for us this go-around. We need a Monday, Tues, or Sat class... if possible Saint needs 2 things (1)socialization with other dogs (excessive excitement and BARKING)He as almost melted down in vet waiting room. Puppy K with other dogs would be helpful. (2) General obedience is good, apart from pulling at walks. My hubby and I disagree. I feel he needs something like gentle leader.... as a harness is not enough Please keep me on you mailing list for upcoming classes.

I recently had my first training session with Dory and looking forward to more. She started the training as she walked in the front door showing me how to help my dog greet people calmly. Every second of her session was spent actively training my dog and I. All of her recommendations are positive - no “boot camp” style! After my session I texted her about a confusion I had and she clarified what I was confused about. Her attention to pet and owner is professional and friendly.

Dory is amazing and has been training us and our pets from our Basset Hound 29 years ago to our now rescue cattle dog.She has helped us train our Basset to listen and come when called even on a busy farm off leash.She trained our daughter at 8 years old to handle and train our now 15 year old German Shepard also passed the canine good citizen test.After just 6 months our rescue is not fearful to be touched. So grateful for her expertise .We highly recommend her .

Attended the first class and was immediately impressed with Dory’s knowledge and direct approach. She covers the basics for training, but not in the (at least as I’ve seen them) method of trick training and constant treat feeding. The initial session was informative (more for me training properly than the dog) and provided more direction than I’ve had from other trainings with explanations of why some things are done like they are as well as how they evolve into more advanced training. She spent some time with children that came to be sure they understand how to safely interact with dogs and guarded dogs. If you want a truly well behaved dog, especially that will advance past basic street manners, this is the training for you. I am excited for the rest of the sessions and glad to have found this to get my dog ready for a happily mannered relationship with me.
