FirstBarkDavid was a wonderful trainer for our 3yr old Shepsky. I really appreciated learning the theory behind the training before applying it. It was a very effective way for us to understand our dog's behavior. We were able to quickly address her non-existent recall to now almost total recall as well as on leash and off leash manners. I would highly recommend Canine Karma.

Canine Karma Training is THE original "Relationship-Based Dog Training" program. We have a truly unique approach, as our program is focused on the relationship between the dog and owner, because relationship is everything. "Relationship dictates behavior and obedience, not repetition." Whether or not your dog listens to you or behaves for you is purely based on the relationship you have with them. You don't get an "obedient" dog from endless hours of working on basic commands (sit, down, come). We focus on educating our clients in order to create a much more knowledgable and capable owner. Isabela was the first person I spoke to about Cooper 7 years ago! She started my raw food journey and remains incredibly knowledgeable, articulate, and kind. She always met me where I was at and that is something special. Then, I met Dave and while we never met in person talking dog with him is why he is the only trainer I still follow on social media. A down to earth guy, Dave is direct, intelligent, passionate, and a great listener which is clutch when you have on line sessions. I live with three intact male dogs, one German Shorthair Pointer and two Deutsch Kurzhaars. I have been speaking to Dave on and off for 7 years about management in a multi dog household, the effectiveness of a marking system, and most importantly play. Dave is a huge part of why raising my current 5 month old puppy is actually almost easy and of course amazingly fun and rewarding. The trainers here really know what they’re doing. I saw a huge difference in my dog’s reactivity in just a few sessions. Worth every penny! Very clear instructions and gave me the tools and education to continue training at home.

Dave and Isabela have been absolutely fantastic, from beginning to end, and even now that Jim is home. They are super knowledgeable and I have felt comfortable with them every step of the way. I was really nervous leaving my dog for so long, as hes never been boarded, let alone with the training, but they were very communicative and answered any questions I had, which made trusting them that much easier. I'll admit that I needed training just as much as Jim and they've helped me a lot since his coming home. Id highly recommend them to anyone. I finally feel like I can give my dog the full life he deserves ❤️
