About Canine Inspired Change
Canine Inspired Change (CIC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving vulnerable youth the social-emotional tools they need to be active participants in their schools and their communities. Our work helps these remarkable young people transcend trauma, social struggles and isolation by sparking meaningful connections with dogs, volunteers and each other. Our innovative and successful program focuses on social-emotional learning to give students the tools to better self-regulate in the classroom and in life. Through customizable sessions, we partner with schools and organizations in the Twin Cities to offer programming that connects with their young learners.

I completed the Therapy Dog class and Tricks class at CIC. Both experiences were FANTASTIC! Taylor and Beth were a wealth of information and have continued to support Zoey and I with little hiccups that have come up during our therapy dog experiences. If you are looking for an organization that is kind, knowledgeable and dog orientated, this is the place for you!!!
CIC was incredibly welcoming from the moment my dog and I arrived. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. These was the best dog training class we have been through! I can’t recommend them enough. Clearly these folks love dogs and do amazing work in the community.

I have taken many classes at CIC, most recently the therapy dog training. While all of the classes and instructors are wonderful, the therapy dog training was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. This is my second dog to go through therapy dog training and CIC was hands down the best. We learned a lot and had so much fun. It was positive, trauma informed, science based and practical. They brought in adult and student volunteers, which were really helpful to the dog and me. Our instructor, Sydney, was instructive and incredibly positive with the handlers, dogs, and volunteers. The training materials (videos and written) were thorough and timely. Highly recommend CIC!
