Canine Counseling is excited to begin a new chapter in Chicago’s Lincoln Square and surrounding neighbourhoods in early Autumn 2025.
Our training methods are science-based, force-free, and rooted in compassion - never punishment, never fear. The goal is not only to nurture your dog’s emotional wellbeing, but also to set you up with the skills and confidence for ongoing success.
We work with dogs of all ages and backgrounds: from playful puppies learning the basics, to adult dogs navigating challenges such as anxiety, reactivity, compulsive behaviours, or aggression concerns.
Frankie brings almost two decades of veterinary and behaviour expertise, and a deep passion for helping pups and their people thrive together.

Frankie was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was great with my pups Franny, Bessie, and Marshall. Bessie is the newest addition to my pack, and Franny wasn't thrilled about having a new fur sibling. I called on Frankie to see if she could help work through Fran's aggression issues.
Frankie taught me techniques to help get Franny to keep her focus on me and less on Bessie. She also worked with me to create a relaxing space in my home for each dog to be able to destress and have some alone time with lots of treats and toys. After each session, Frankie sent over extensive notes and homework with how to work with each dog in between sessions. The notes were tailored to me and my pups, and you could tell a lot of thought went into them.
And the best part – after only a couple of sessions, a miracle happened... Franny and Bessie started playing with each other!! I was so happy I could cry!
My only wish was that we had more time with Frankie! We're sending her all the best! :)
