We have worked with a few other trainers and behavioral specialists, but Mike is hands down the one who has made a true and lasting impact on our family and our dog’s happiness. Our dog, Tallulah, was abandoned before we adopted her and as a result, was very fearful and reactive. When our neighbors got a dog, we became concerned that she might chase after her, prompting us to seek training once again. Our daughter was also planning to bring her dog, Biggie, home for the holidays. We knew we needed a way to help them coexist peacefully- especially since Tallulah had always been territorial towards other dogs on our property. From the start, Mike provided expert guidance and unwavering support. He helped us introduce Tallulah to public spaces, teaching her how to remain calm around other dogs and enjoy playful activities. To ease her anxiety about unfamiliar dogs in her space, he gradually exposed her to controlled interactions, bringing his own well-trained dogs to our home. We also worked with them at his training facility, allowing Tallulah to build confidence in a structured and safe environment. When it came for her to meet Biggie, Mike ensured the introduction was thoughtful and stress-free. He equipped us with the right tools and techniques, guiding us in the use of an e-collar and an invisible fence to create a positive and controlled experience. His generosity extended beyond Tallulah- he welcomed our daughter and Biggie into training sessions, offering invaluable advice to help Biggie improve his listening skills when he became overly excited. His training facility, complete with an obstacle course and engaging activities, made the process fun. The transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Tallulah is now a confident, playful, and happy dog. Even more incredible, Biggie now lives with us, and the two have become inseparable companions, constantly playing together. For the first time, Tallulah is able to enjoy the company of other dogs and people in a way we never thought possible. Mike’s gift for understanding both dogs and their owners is truly exceptional. He is patient, kind, and incredibly professional, bringing enthusiasm and playfulness to every training session. We cannot recommend him more highly and will forever be grateful for the positive change he has brought into our lives.
Mike was a very nice guy and has a great facility for training dogs. He was very professional and accommodating and helped my puppy Brady get some training. I would trust him and highly recommend him for all dog training needs. We look forward to going back for more training with Mike.

We worked on her recall, whining, ability to have downtime, overall “manners” (like not jumping up on the counter or table to steal food), leash skills, crate training, and so much more. It use to be stressful to have her out and about when we had family and friends over because she just didn’t listen at all. We just went through the holiday season and she was an absolute breeze all thanks to Mike and the skills and tools he taught both her and us. Mike also sent us so many pictures and videos of her having an absolute blast every day with all the dogs running around and swimming, which makes leaving your dog so much more comforting knowing they’re having the best time and in a safe environment. 100/10 recommend!

We contacted Canine Confidence to help with our rescue dog, Oakley. We purchased a Board and Train program package, which also included a year of one-on-one training with Mike. At our first meeting with Mike, we immediately felt comfortable with leaving Oakley in his care. He was knowledgeable, passionate about what he does, and established a connection with Oakley right away. Within hours of us dropping off Oakley for Board and Train, Mike had our anxiety-ridden, overly energetic dog calmly laying on a crowded sidewalk. A few days later, Oakley was calmly walking through a crowded Home Depot. This is behavior we never expected to see and we are thrilled with the confidence Oakley has gained. While Oakley was in his care, Mike consistently sent us video updates and thoroughly explained his training processes step-by-step. We couldn’t be happier with Canine Confidence and highly recommend Mike to all dog owners!
