Canine Commander Dog Training

Started with Chris and Josh 2 years ago when my Doberman Achilles was 4 months old. Achilles can heel, right, sit, down, stay, spin, speak, place, weave and even run obstacle courses. They put so much time and effort to train Achilles. They don’t just train your dog they train you as well so you can feel confident with your dog. We also board Achilles with Chris because we know he’s safe and in good hands. We will always recommend Chris and Josh.

We cannot say enough good things about Chris and our experience at Canine Commander. We have been bringing our Doberman Achilles here since he was a puppy and the training/care he has received is unmatched. We use Chris for boarding as well and there’s no one else we trust to watch him while we’re out of town. Chris and his team are very patient and you can tell they really care about the dogs and their wellbeing. Huge shoutout to Josh as well for the wonderful training and who our Achilles absolutely loves! We always get compliments about how well trained Achilles is and we’re always recommending Canine Commander to everyone.

We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our dog. Chris is, hands down, the best trainer we’ve ever worked with. When we adopted our dog, he was anxious and struggled with basic commands—especially the ones that are critical for staying safe in a busy city like NYC. After working with Chris and his team, he became more confident, obedient, and overall a much happier dog. Even though we live in Manhattan, my wife and I never hesitate to make the hour-long drive out to Long Island when we’re leaving town. Honestly, the way our dog sprints into Chris’s house, we sometimes wonder if he likes Chris more than he likes us.

We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog Flora receives while we’re away! Chris and his staff are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but also truly compassionate and attentive. Every time we return from vacation, our dog is happy, well-behaved, and clearly well-loved. It’s such a relief to know she’s in the best hands while we’re gone.
