Canine Command Dog Training

From day one Raemond’s focus is your relationship with your dog and building an understanding of their personality. He started by helping us understand the reasoning behind Pancake’s(dog) behavior then leading us through how to train her and prepare for how she specifically will respond. He will also cut sessions in half if Pancake has gotten too tired and needs a break. Raemond’s is an expert in his craft but also extremely generous with his time.

We chose Canine Command because of their experience training therapy dogs, which is our eventual goal for our lab mix pup. But first we needed basic training, especially around leash manners and recall. Raemond is fantastic to work with, and help us and our dog become more confident. Our dog really enjoyed the training sessions, especially when Raemond’s assistant Bella attended. We are looking forward to the group classes and, when our dog is more mature, focusing on the therapy assist training.

We scheduled an assessment with Raemond at canine command for our dog and I was very impressed. He was knowledgeable like many trainers but most importantly he actively listened to us and for that reason was able to accurately assess our situation. After his assessment he was transparent about our options for our reactive dog and ultimately recommended another trainer with more specific experience. I very much appreciated the honesty and maturity.
