Canine Coach

We brought our dog to Linda's classes to get him used to being around other dogs and teach him better manners and hone-in on his weaknesses. After our first group class, he became a little fearful due to one of the disruptive dogs in the class. Linda was amazing with our dog in the following classes. She showed a lot of patience with our dog and by the last class he was able to interact with the other dogs without freaking out. I would highly recommend her and her classes, as the techniques that she teaches, really work! Thanks, Linda

I started training my dog at 9 weeks with Linda, Canine Coach. I have enjoyed the group sessions enormously. My puppy has learned every task taught to him, it may need continual practice and polishing but that is a labor of love. She will work with each dog individually if the dog or in my case the owner has a difficult time with the lesson. What I have enjoyed most is the time my dog and I get to spend with other dogs and enjoy learning a new behavior. I thank her for showing me the way to teach my dog, it has been a joy.

I went to Canine Coach, Inc to train my stubborn yet very excitable French Bulldog. Linda was aware of my dog's personality and his issues as I had spoke with her on the phone and she even did a private session with my dog. She assured me that she had the right tools and experience to help me train my dog. Unfortunately she only became frustrated with his personality during the first group class as he constantly whined/screamed (as Frenchies do) during the class. Linda placed us in the corner the entire class with hopes of my dog calming down. I completely agreed with her reasoning. We stayed in the corner and worked on the techniques she gave me to calm him down (don't correct his behavior and reward with a treat when he stops whining). At the end of class she had me stay after and said my dog was too hyper for the other dogs in class and did not invite me back for further group classes. I had paid for 5 sessions in advance as did everyone else in the class. The group class was the third session. She offered to do one private session with me to finish the class. The private sessions are twice as expensive as the group sessions so I would have gotten one less class than I initially paid for. I reminded her that the reason I brought my dog to training was to teach him how to behave around other dogs and I did not believe a private session would help him achieve this goal. When I asked for a refund she refused stating she does not give refunds for unfinished classes. I would completely agree if I had chose to leave the class, however she kicked me out and still did not offer a refund. In my opinion Linda is a great trainer for shy, docile, and timid dogs. If you have a dog with a strong personality or one that is vocal while around other dogs she may not be the right trainer for you. If you decide to train with her I would recommend paying per session just in case she decides your dog is not a good fit for her class.

Our experience with Linda of Canine Coach was amazing. We have an aggressive dog to others that are not within our family circle. Sound familiar? Well, Linda came into our home and within the first half-hour Linda had our 120+ lb. dog eating out of her hand. It was absolutely amazing! I loved Linda's to the point approach. She gives you the information and looks out for the animals. It is a matter us readjusting our behavior so we can have healthier animals. She is worth every single penny. Linda at Canine Coach is the BEST! My dog Izzy just graduated from puppy kindergarten and I couldn't be more happy. Linda teaches in a way that is easy to understand for the owner AND the dog. I really love that it's all positive training too. Izzy was excited to go to class and she was excited to learn new things. I can honestly say too, that Linda's training kept me from losing Izzy. After just a few days of practicing the "come" command, it was put to the test. One of my family members left a door open and Izzy took off with out us knowing it. I panicked and started screaming for her. Nothing. I took a breath and remembered our training. I said "Izzy...Come" and up popped her head from down the street. I continued with what we learned in class and she came running right into my arms. If it wasn't for Linda's training, I fear she would have just kept running and I would have lost her. Thank you Linda!! I look forward to continuing our puppy education. I highly recommend Canine Coach!!!
