We took our 8 year old dog, Dexter, to Canine Co-Pilots for their four week board and train program. We were apprehensive about starting training due to his age. In the past we considered training for his reactivity, but we were told that some dogs are “just like that.”This summer we finally took the time and researched trainers to see what our options were. We found the perfect fit with Canine Co-Pilots. From our first evaluation, the entire process was explained to us. We went over what our goals were and what to expect. For several years now, we have been dealing with Dexter’s reactivity. We got used to not having people over, turning the other way when we would see people approaching on our walks, and dealing with his barking whenever a package was delivered. Dexter has been home with us for a few weeks now and we have noticed a drastic difference. Some of the improvements include leash walking (no more pulling and the ability to walk past others), being around other dogs in group class (never something we thought possible), and the ability to place/stay when people not only come to the door but come into the house. Bryan did an outstanding job with training. He gained Dexter’s trust which was not an easy task at the beginning. As much as Bryan trained and got to know Dexter, he did the same with us. He took the time to explain how he was training Dexter and the reasoning behind it. He made us feel comfortable with asking questions and you could tell he wanted to help us in understanding. Now that Dexter is home, we still have the option to have private lessons and attend a weekly group lesson. It’s wonderful because you don’t feel like you are on your own after the board and train is completed. You still have a support system at Canine Co-Pilots. It has been a life changing experience and it is difficult to sum up everything it has meant and to express the gratitude. However, to put it simply…thank you. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!! We have never had a dog and one was left at our mailbox last winter. We took him in as our own since nobody claimed him and he did not have a chip. He is a Aussie/Pit mix so he is an absolute ball of energy and fun however we did not know how to train him and were struggling with it for a few months. Then we came upon Canine Co-Pilots (jeff and his team) did they an amazing job! We decided to do the 4 week full boarding and training. Kobe came home an entirely new puppy and we SO happy with the results. We received updated via text almost daily from Jeff and his team. Some of those updates were just simple pictures of our puppy. When you have to depart from your pet for 4+ weeks it's hard, however the constant text updates, pics, and videos made this time away a lot easier. Not to mention the in person training that we attended each week as well as the at home training that continues after his initial 4 weeks is priceless. Oh...and the fact that I can reach out to Jeff and his team anytime after training for advice. You cannot put a price tag on that! Thank you soooooo much for everything. WELL WORTH IT! Remember people, you get what you pay for and we are happy we went with Canine Co-Pilots over the many other trainers we looked into. So glad we crossed paths!!

Wow. Where do I even start? Our dog Luna was very reactive and protective. She would bark/growl at delivery people, strangers walking down the street, even friends coming over— anyone who wasn’t us. We wanted to help with her anxiety and didn’t want her to live in that constant state of stress. From the very first meeting, Jeff put us at ease. He explained the "why" behind Luna’s behaviors and how their work would allow her to feel safe and less anxious so she could be the sweet, loving dog we knew at home. The team sent updates, photos, and videos—not only showing her progress but giving us clear instructions so we could reinforce the training at home. They worked with us to break the cycle of our bad habits and teach the whole family how to build new ones. What impressed me most was how much thought and care the entire team—Jeff, Brian, Laura, Anna—put into working with Luna. They took time to get to know her and clearly enjoyed having her around. She was in capable and caring hands. The difference in Luna has been LIFE CHANGING. This weekend we had people over, and for the first time Luna wasn’t freaking out at every movement. We had pizza delivered, and we could actually open the door and take it instead of having the driver leave it on the porch while she tried to claw through the door like Cujo. She’s calmer, happier, and finally able to show others the sweet dog we always knew she was.
