Canine Case Squad

After 6 long years of our dog Bruce having high stress and anxiety, we took him to canine case squad. All of our concerns and questions are answered, the staff is absolutely lovely. Most of all, we are finally able to walk our dog in public and work to see his confidence grow. Only wish we would have brought him there sooner! Do not hesitate to take your dog here if you are having any doubts or issues with behavior. The best of the absolute best.

Shari and team are the best! Our dog Dallas was pushy and always scared. She went to Canine Case Squad and has came back a totally different dog. Her behavior is so much better now. Shari gave us the tools and training to ensure Dallas gets the proper guidance from us and now we know how to correct her behavior so we can enjoy our time with her even more. I've had a few friends that met our dog before and after the training. Everyone that has met Dallas since her training has said she is a different dog and so much better. Thank you Shari and Dan!

There are not enough adjectives to describe how phenomenal Shari and the team at Canine Case Squad are at what they do. In February 2018, my husband and I adopted our dog, Pippin. Within a month or two we soon realized that although Pippin was a totally loveable mush to us, he was reactive to strangers and other dogs. He even bit a few of our family members and a former trainer. We were filled with love for our boy but stressed out and unsure of what to do. Thank goodness we found Canine Case Squad! In August 2018 we brought Pippin in for an evaluation. Shari and the team were direct and extremely informative, but also totally put us at ease and made us feel hopeful. Pippin completed a 2 week in house stay in January 2019 and we are so thrilled and impressed at the progress he has made. His progress of course depends on the effort that we make as his parents, but the CCS staff is so wonderful at explaining not only dog but also human behaviors. We’ve never felt embarrassed to ask questions or bring up concerns, and Shari is also always super quick to respond to emails if we have questions outside of our sessions. Pippin is a calmer dog and a better listener, and we are more confident as his parents to take him on long walks and introduce him to strangers. Pippin LOVES all his friends at Canine Case Squad, and so do we! Thank you a million more times for everything!!! :)

There are not enough stars for Canine Case Squad. I had a dog I thought was hopelessly unable to change due to the sad life he had for the first three years. I nicknamed him "Tasmanian devil". I was so wrong. After a few training sessions with Shari, Dan and Cindy, I had hope for the first time. He is acting so much better. She is not just training my dog she is also training me. I never knew how important is. I would recommend C.C.S. to any one needing help with their dogs. Very professional. They know exactly what they are doing. I learning more and more about the psychology of my dog. I look forward to each training session. I will be sorry when it's over. THEY ARE PHENOMENAL!!!!!!

When you bring home a new puppy – you’re filled with thoughts of carefree experiences like walks in the woods, days at the beach, car rides and hanging with your canine pup at wineries, breweries and festivals. That’s what I envisioned when I brought my 4 month old German Shorthaired Puppy home. I also had visions of her becoming a therapy dog to someday assume my older GSP’s visiting schedule. I immediately enrolled her in a daycare program and attended daily obedience classes with her; all my plans were in full motion until one day my beautiful sweet puppy freaked out at a stranger when I picked her up from daycare. I initially shrugged it off –stranger danger – puppies – it happens she will outgrow it. Unfortunately the fear issue intensified; so much so I could not walk my sweet puppy without episodes of barking and thrashing out at passer-bys. Forget having a friend over to the house or a repairman, it was chaos. I tried working with the current trainer but we were not seeing any results. It was then I knew I needed to contact Canine Case Squad. I had worked with CCS in late 2008 after bringing a rescue dog into my home who was having displaying serious separation anxiety with separation – they provided some useful guidance and I am happy to report 10 years later – my boy is doing great. Now back to my current situation, upon our consultation visit, CCS determined my puppy had developed Dominant Fear Aggression. Scary words and when googled and youtube video – even scarier. But Shari and team and CCS assured me that they felt they could help my girl. First course of action – remove her from daycare which we believe was the source of her issues – we believe something traumatic happened at Daycare. The recommendation was for a 3 week Behavioral modification program and some medical protocol. This behavioral modification program involved my now year old friend spending 3 weeks at CCS facility AS well as training sessions for me – to be a more confident leader. Anyone who has a dog knows how hard it is to be away from them for one day much less 3 weeks but I had to try to give my girl a chance at some normalcy. So I packed her up favorite toy – her food - some treats and lots of tissues (tissues were for me) and handed her over to Shari and the CCS staff. While I was unable to physically visit her for 3 weeks I was thankful for the opportunity to view her on a live feed video cam and also to receive weekly drop box videos. At the conclusion of the 3 weeks I was thrilled to see my girl – but apprehensive that I was capable of keeping her improvement moving forward. It has been 1 solid month since her BMP and I am compelled to report the following recent experience. I was driving to visit family in NC – this involved stopping at rest areas, staying overnight in a hotel and spending a few days at a family member’s house. ALL new experiences for my Dog. Following Shari and Team’s instructions to the “T” – I was floored to see that my girl walked into the hotel lobby without incident – slept on the bed with me without issue and paid no attention to people at the rest areas. When meeting family members and their dogs – we were able to go on a PACK walk within5 minutes of my arrival. My dog who was terrified of strangers – especially men – and aggressive to other dogs – was walking with 3 dogs she had never met and was letting my uncle cuddle with her. We did have a WOOF here or a WOOF there during out stay - but those incidents were quickly resolved by following the correction protocol. I am just so excited to share the milestones made by my girl and look forward to future road trips with her and experiences.
