Canine Cadre - Northford

After getting a recommendation for Canine Cadre, I reached out once I knew when my puppy would be arriving. Lenny reached out and I could tell immediately he was incredibly knowledgeable about dogs in general, but especially about GSD's. As a new GSD puppy owner, I decided this would be a good option. Lenny had me sign up for the Northford location and attend training with Erich. From the moment we walked in, I knew I had made the right decision. Erich is calm, friendly, and easy going. He's also honest and up front, which I appreciate. One of the best things about Canine Cadre is that when we arrive, the first question I'm asked is how things have been going. I can list off any struggles we may have had, and the first thing Erich will do is tackle the struggles and teach us how to address them before we move on to new concepts. This makes the training truly customized, and I always leave confident I have the tools to work on anything my dog may be struggling with or how to resolve issues we have. I also leave with new tools to push the training forward. Every session has something different, and the fact it's a private session means every moment is 100% focused on your dog. The classes also come with a puppy socialization classes to help get puppies comfortable with other dogs and how to behave around them, as well as new people. We just finished our basic classes but will be going back for more as the process has been so great. Highly recommend.

Canine Cadre of Northford is the new go to for training. I have a 1yr (17 months) old Australian Shepard girl, who I’ve been taking to the canine cadre crew since she was five months and did puppy training with Lenny P in Wallingford. Since then, we’ve moved on to furthering our obedience and behavioral issues with Erich in Northford, and it has been a HUGE game changer for us. I aspire to do competition obedience with this little girl and Erich has done nothing but set us up for success. She responds so well to our training now, just me and her. She used to get fussy sometimes but get her just right and she’ll work for you like nothing. She has some separation issues and could not be handled by other people, Erich has been extremely understanding and works WITH us to get her used to being handled. Now I find she’s more excited to work and go on the leash with other people. It was enough to even get her Canine Good Citizen title. When you sign up for an hour long class, you are working 👏🏼 👏🏼 for the full hour. My relationship with my dog has increased so much just based on our improvement in training. I can’t recommend Erich and the Northford crew enough.
