FirstBarkOur dog Roo had the best time with trainer Aileen!!!!! We got wonderful weekly updates and the training sessions at home after the program were very helpful to implement the skills learned. Aileen helped our sweet Roo learn the place command and better leash walking and we couldn't be happier. Can't recommend enough!

After two weeks, he had good social behavior and has been eager to learn. Crate and leash training are progressing better than expected. Sarah is wonderful. She is patient with Buddy and me,as I have had lots of questions. She has been available, even after the training period, to address questions and offer suggestions. I’ve been so impressed that I plan to utilize Canine by Design and Sarah for advanced training, in the future.

I highly recommend Canine by Design board and train program. My husband and I have owned many dogs, but felt unprepared owning a working breed like our Rottweiler, Nova. After struggling through group lessons and self training, we quickly realized we needed professional training. After careful research, we contacted Canine by Design. Canine by Design was very professional throughout the entire process. After an initial consultation with Jason in our home to discuss our specific goals, we were matched with Sarah. Sarah (and Alexis) have been godsends. Solid rapport was established immediately from the time she was loaded onto the doggie van and sent to live with Sarah and her family. Sarah and Alexis were very patient and kind with Nova while providing much needed clarity that was lacking in our home. Our rambunctious adolescent learned environment neutrality and calmness in the home, among other skills. After 4 weeks, she came back a polished version of herself. Providing follow up sessions to reinforce skills and training with us -and knowing Sarah is always available for questions- have given us the confidence to embrace this strong sweetheart in our lives. The staff answered my questions and concerns before, during and after Riley's training. They were very reassuring about her training. Mason was very compassionate and caring towards Riley. You can see he really cared about her . At the end they gave me the tools to improve and guide Riley into a fulfilling life. I appreciate all they have done.

We did at home private lessons with Mason. If you own a Cane Corso or any strong-willed breed and think you can figure it out on your own — you can’t. At least not the right way. Mason changed that for us completely. We came in with a 13-week-old Corso puppy who hated leashes, ignored commands, and had us guessing at every turn. From session one Mason was dialed in — handler-focused, knowledgeable, and able to read our dog immediately. He didn’t just train Ozzy, he trained us. The slip lead technique, pressure and release, loaded marker words — he explained the “why” behind everything which made it actually stick. Ozzy went from bucking bronco on a leash to sitting, laying, staying, and coming on command. More importantly, we know how to communicate with him now and how to work through the tough phases as he grows. Mason is the real deal. Patient, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Worth every penny and then some. Can’t recommend him highly enough. Training your dog is the gift that keeps giving over their lifetime.
