Canine Academy Columbus

We did the 5 week class with Kayla and Ashley and a small group of other owners and dogs. It was very helpful with our 1 year old bernadoodle who started out super anxious and reactive. I was a bit unsure what to expect, but they broke up the lessons into doable weekly focus areas and it didn’t feel overwhelming. They took the time with us to help figure out our dog specifically and I appreciated that. Our dog responded well to it and we’ll continue working with her. Thank you 🙌🏼

We did the puppy board and train with Alex and the obedience board and train with Shannon and it was a wonderful experience. I am so glad that we made this investment to train our puppy and have an absolutely incredibly well behaved dog for life. The best part was that the trainers really listen to the issues that you have with your pet, work on fixing those issues and then have follow up trainings with you to teach you how to continue and maintain what was taught to your pet. This training was imperative for me as I have always struggled with my dogs obeying my husband (alpha), but not me ( short, easy going woman). Since the training, I now know how to work with my dogs and both my puppy and my 10 year old terrier, now listen and respect me. My puppy loved the Canine Academy. It literally felt like dropping her off at summer camp, with a care team and cute doggy cabins. They sent progress pictures most days and I could see how much fun she was having with her fellow doggy training friends and her trainers. I also love the group support classes for the life of your pet. We have only been to one so far and it was fantastic! I am so grateful that we found such an amazing training camp and community of dog lovers to boot.

Alex worked miracles with our very stubborn, set in his ways, one year old male mini dachshund. We chose the 8 day board and train program. The cost was very reasonable compared to other board and train programs we researched, and after seeing the results, it was worth every penny! We received multiple pictures and updates daily from the care team of Frankie during his play time and walks, and received multiple videos and updates from Alex showing what commands Frankie had learned each day. The progress he made throughout his stay was truly amazing, and the e collar clearly was a benefit in his training process. Our two hour lesson with Alex before we brought Frankie home was thorough and extremely helpful. Alex was patient and took time to answer all of our questions, making sure we were comfortable with the e collar and all of the commands before heading home with Frankie. We are so pleased with the positive results in Frankie's behavior and overall demeanor. We are only 5 days into the training at home, and he already obeys every command he learned from Alex. I am so less stressed about having Frankie loose in the house, walking him on our street, and simply just having him come to us when called. No more chasing a dog around the house! We are grateful for the work Alex put in to helping Frankie be such a good listener, and for the care team who loved him and cared for him like he was one of their own. The grounds are clean, beautiful, and spacious. We truly are so impressed by everything Canine Academy has to offer, and the positive results we have seen in our sweet Frankie!
