Canine Academy

We have been with canine academy since February 2022. Our dog Spanky has gone through all of the trainings including off leash. I don't think I can fully Express how grateful we are for all of the trainers. Lisa is absolutely amazing, she has taken our dog from a good dog to a great dog. Not only have they trained our dog, but they have trained us to be great dog handlers in order to keep our dog being the best he can be. This is our first time going through dog training of any kind and I don't know how we didn't do it sooner with any of our other dogs. The support that we get from the school and from all of the trainers is unmatched. If you're looking for an excellent school with excellent trainers and the support you need to make your dog successful this is definitely the one.

I am a first time dog owner, so when my puppy first came home, I was a little out of my depth. I did a ton of research on training programs because I knew I wanted to make a strong investment in her. A friend recommended Canine Academy, so I called to get more information. I had a good feeling even from that initial call, which was very thorough and the lady answered all of my questions. I admit, I was mostly excited they would take my puppy for 2 full days each week! Different than daycare, she actually learns when she’s with CA for the day. When we started the beginner program, my pup was 13 weeks, knew no commands, and was miserable at walking on the leash. She just completed the Beginner program and the change in her is REMARKABLE. She has grown her vocabulary and she walks pretty well on a leash! People tell me often how impressed they are that a puppy this young knows so much. An employee at a separate facility (a daycare, not a school) stopped me as we were leaving one day to say “it’s very clear you work with her on training. She’s very obedient for her age.” She’s still a puppy, that’s for sure, but she’s come so far in 4 weeks. I do wish the classes for me as the human were in person, but given a global pandemic, CA has done a great job with their videos. You can clearly see how they layer on each skill week over week. Coming into dog mom life knowing nothing, I feel so much more equipped to raise my pup. I drive 30 min each way for CA, and it’s entirely worth it. My little fur baby just started the Intermediate program and she is progressing well. Long story short...I highly recommend!
