Campbell K9 University & Daycare LLC

This review is only in regards to their doggy daycare services. I have never taken any of my 2 dogs to their training classes. I bought a 10 pack for a week when my spouse was going to be gone and not at home so I could take my dogs to a doggy daycare while I worked nearby. I had some concerns about their set up initially, but when I had talked to them earlier, they seemed fairly competent, so I thought I was just being a little overly cautious. However, on the third day of taking them to doggy daycare, I arrived in the mid afternoon after work to pick them up and was standing quietly at the front while an employee was doing an obedience class with a separate dog. After this employee didn’t acknowledge my presence for over 10 minutes I wandered to the back where the daycare dogs were. I was shocked to see that all the dogs were in pens together without any supervision whatsoever. My dogs are very friendly and are 70 pound dogs, but I cannot speak for every other dog. My two large dogs were in a pen outside with four other large dogs that they had never interacted with before. If there had been a dog fight, one of my dogs could’ve easily been killed and nobody would have known because there was no supervision whatsoever and only one employee working on site. No cameras. Nothing. In addition, where the outside pen was, in addition to not being supervised, is in an area that is outside the mall where homeless individuals frequent. The gate was not locked. So anybody could’ve come by and stolen a dog if they wanted to, and none of the employees would’ve ever known. I expressed all of my concerns to one of the owners at the time of picking them up. He agreed with me and said they needed to hire more people and they needed better supervision, but didn’t really have a solution in real time so I told them I could no longer bring my dogs in for doggy daycare. They never gave me a refund for the for unused daycare passes. I would never trust them to watch my dogs again.

We adopted our puppy in January of 2024; it wasn't long after we realized he was one smart pup. I started searching for trainers because I knew we had a lot to learn about being new puppy parents. Long story short, we learned a lot from our puppy, basic, and advanced training with Deb and Rex at Campbell K9 University. Our dog is so well-behaved, and I love working with him every day. My husband and I took all of the classes together so that we would be on the same page, and the training that we received from Campbell K9 University was well worth the time and money spent. We signed up for puppy training, then we did two basic, and since we were enjoying it so much, we decided to go for the advanced training as well. We're much better dog parents thanks to the training we received and the guidance and skills Deb and Rex helped us develop. We've had dogs before, but we hadn't done training like this with any of them. I'm grateful this place exists and have recommended it to everyone I know with a dog.
