Camp Lucky Board and Train (San Antonio TX)

Jesse is the best dog trainer in the world. My dog was a 3-year-old pit mix and used to run my life. She was a sweet loveable but out-of-control mess. I always wanted to send her to a trainer but I was worried since she was a rescue dog she would come back timid or scared. I was so wrong Jesse worked with my sweet girl with patience and love. It really felt like when it came time to pick her up she was sad to leave him. After just 2 weeks at the camp, she transformed to an obedient dog. It's unbelievable before training I was nervous about inviting people to my home because she would jump all over them. Now she knows all of her commands and is more confident in situations. Don't walk, RUN to camp lucky!!! Best money I've ever spent.

We rescued our dog , Gracie , last Summer . She was smart, sweet , loving and WILD ! We were unable to make headway trying to train her in our own so we tried Camp Lucky and lucky it was for us . We opted for the two week course and just got Gracie back today . What an improvement ! We will continue to use the training methodology used during her Camp Lucky stay . I can’t say enough good things about her trainer , Angel, and the love and attention he gave Gracie while under his care . We used Camp Lucky for my grand dog Bear. Although Alexis is the one that worked with him, we did interact with Aaron as well. Bear is a rescue who was a baby when he was abandoned on the side of the road. He is a sweet, warm, loving dog but is very muscular and could hurt someone without meaning to do it. Alexis came out and met with us first so that we could SEE how she was with Bear. He loved her! I cannot say enough good things about them. We got an email update every day with photos and videos of what Bear had worked on that day. This was SO helpful to all of us - to see how Bear was doing - not only with his training but that he was okay. We did 3 weeks because Bear is a Pit Bull Mix and although he doesn't have a mean bone in his body if a Pittie does ANYTHING - even accidentally - they want to force you to put them down and we just couldn't take that chance with sweet Bear. I was extremely hesitant about a board and train because there are many that mistreat your dogs but Alexis and Aaron and all of their trainers are absolutely amazing. Bear was part of Alexis family while she had him and we didn't have to worry about whether he was being taken care of or not. He is home now and doing very well and we are so very grateful for Alexis and the entire Camp Lucky team. We are SO happy with Camp Lucky! We have a 1 year old French bulldog who needed some fine tuning and to really learn his manners. We looked around San Antonio for trainers who had experience with the breed, who would keep our dog in their house, and would invest their time and love into our dog as if they were their own. Camp Lucky exceeded those requirements. We met with Aaron prior to signing up to ask questions, get an idea of their training program and style, and his overall demeanor. Aaron has the credentials, personality, and confidence we were looking for, and it felt like a perfect fit for our dog. He took the time to answer all of our questions- both prior to training, during training, and after training. He sent us a very detailed report card with countless pictures and videos every night our boy was with him. This was so special to us as we could see the progress he was making as if we were there with them. He addressed any concerns we had throughout training and was just so patient with us and our dog. Aaron truly made it feel as if our boy was part of his family while he was staying with them. We cannot recommend Camp Lucky enough. This is one of the best investments we have made and will continue to make for our future dogs. I feel like I am able to manage life so much better now that I have the tools to navigate through life with my babies.
