Camp Lucky Board and Train (San Antonio TX)

My dog Jax was horrific before I brought him to Jessie (our trainer). I honestly didn’t think it was possible for him to behave at all! I did a lot of research and made a lot of phone calls. A lot of other companies were rude and made me feel as though all the issues I was having were my fault. Not campy lucky! One phone call with Jessie and he broke it all down for me. I ultimately decided to go with their 5 Week off leash package, and it was the best decision I ever made! I figured Jax would be better, but I had no idea he would be incredible! Jessie got a dog who ran away chasing after cars, pulled on a leash at 85 lbs, stole food off the table, and jumped on everyone he saw! Name a bad behavior and Jax did it. What I got back was a dog that listened OFF leash I mean he’s coming every time I call his name! He walks right next to me with NO LEASH. I’m talking about the same dog that I saw put paws on moving cars and never listened to a word I said. I not only got a well behaved dog but I got the training that I needed in order to be a better owner for Jax. Jessie didn’t make me feel stupid for not knowing. He taught me and I learned how to grow my bond with this knuckle head. It’s only been a week since I got my boy back, but I bring him everywhere with me! I can’t thank Jessie enough for what he was able to do for us! I can’t recommend Jessie and camp lucky enough! If you’re looking you can stop right now pick up the phone and give Jessie a call! The 5 week package was worth every penny! I know where my next dog will be going when the time comes!

I have known Jessie for a very long time! He has been a friend to me through thick a thin. Even when we haven't talked to eachother for awhile we still came back like time was never lost. I've seen the way he trains and treats every dog that has came into his life. And without a doubt, he will forever be the 1st I would pick to take my dogs in! Campy lucky I'd give them 100 out of 10. I've seen all the progress he does with each individual dog he has had and it has amazed me with what he does and how he does it! So of anyone wants to have there dog trained for whatever you want them to do. I not only recommend, but honestly insist you to bring them to camp lucky!! You won't regret it!

Camp Lucky Board and Train are absolutely above and beyond. Just by their website alone you can tell that everyone genuinely loves what they do. I had some inquiries about a few different things and dropped them an email. The owner, Aaron, got back with me incredibly fast and gave me his number so we could have a conversation on the phone. He was so informative, friendly, and helpful. Angel was the trainer for my dog, Fern. He is THE BEST. I was religiously logging into the parent pet portal to read up on Ferns report cards and see her progress. I knew Fern was a super smart dog, and she new like the bare minimum basics (like sit, down, shake) But the training I needed for her was beyond my capability of doing. Seeing her gain confidence and new skills was just mind blowing. Angel truly is passionate and does a fantastic job with training dogs. During our turnover process he was thorough in explaining everything, walking through the steps of the commands, showing me and then correcting me as I was doing them. During so we got to talk a little bit about my being disabled and why I was seeking out training for Fern. I cannot thank him enough for the fantastic job he did with her, the skills he thought her and the foundation he established will help me gain independence and help with my journey with managing all that comes with my disability. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And thank you to camp lucky for existing!

Toby (labrador/border collie mix) is a rescue that we found on the side of the road, starving and freezing. He was a great new addition to our family from the beginning but, as our first ever "big" dog we knew that training would be necessary. I had a hard time handling the leash tugging and the jumping on people and he wasn't even fully grown yet! We met with a couple of different trainers from different programs but Alexis really stood out! She is professional, knowledgeable and Toby connected with her straight away! I was actually amazed that I felt more and more BONDED with Toby with each nightly report card. I was cheering him on from the side lines the same as I do with my kids in their sports and I was so proud of his progress and of how quickly he was learning! I will never again have a dog join our family (regardless of size) without training from Camp Lucky! This was a wonderful experience for us all and our family is much happier now that we can communicate successfully! Do not hesitate to send your pup to Camp Lucky! Ps... a testimate to how well this program worked. A week after Toby returned from training with Alexis, we decided to test Toby's dedication to the "Toby, come!" command. We were visiting a family member's lakehouse out in Missouri. My husband brought Toby lakeside, while I stayed at the house, which was about a football field away with dense trees between us. Toby couldn't see me but he could hear me. I yelled out that command and about a minute later Toby came tearing through the trees to sit by my side. Alexis was not wrong (not that I ever doubted her lol). I absolutely can trust Toby off leash. So proud of him!
