Camp Lucky Board and Train

We had an amazing experience working with Skylar! We rescued our 1-year-old boxer/lab mix (possibly with some pittie), and while he is the sweetest, most fun-loving pup, he came with many untrained behaviors like excessive excitement, jumping, nipping at hands, and rough play. We decided to go with the 2-week Board and Train program, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Skylar did an incredible job helping correct those behaviors, introducing and properly integrating the e-collar, and even training him to be off-leash. One thing we really appreciated was how communicative he was throughout the process. He kept us in the loop every few days with updates and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to see our pup’s progress firsthand. We’ve had our pup back for about a week now and are continuing the training at home, and the results have been amazing. He’s still the same happy, loving dog we fell in love with... just so much more well-behaved and manageable! One of our favorite things now is being able to play with him outside without needing a leash, which has been such a game changer. Even after bringing our pup home, Skylar has followed up with us multiple times to check in and offer support, which really shows how much he cares. We’re so grateful for Skylar’s expertise, patience, and care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for real, lasting results with their dog!

We have had a great experience with Camp Lucky. Lauren was our trainer and was very responsive, thorough, and helpful. She sent daily pictures and videos. She was very caring yet disciplined with our pup and gave us a lot of really helpful tips, tools, and tricks. We would definitely recommend her for anyone with a new pup and look forward to building on the practices and training that she helped instill in our pup! Best money spent! We sent our dog, Elly, here for two weeks of board and train. We had had a new baby and Elly was struggling with anxiety with the new baby. Our trainer was Skylar and he has been amazing! There were videos shared and information was given for reference. The contact was stellar. Due to the ice and snowstorm, we were not able to do the typical “welcome home” day when Elly came home. However, he was amazing and came back out at a later date to spend some time with us in our home! Absolutely would recommend to anyone who may have a dog struggling with anxiety!

I was very pleased with the care and training that my dog received while with Skylar and his family. While she worked diligently to understand what she needed to to be a better dog I also knew she was safe and cared for in the process. As the owner Skylar also provided great updates throughout the process. At the beginning of our schooling I was briefed by Skylar about the routine and how it would be tailored to my dogs specific needs. At the end again I was briefed and shown how to work with my dog to ensure she understood my commands and that they were the same as what Skylar taught her. My dog is happy and glad to be home and I am too.

My newly-adopted dog Mochi completed the 2 week board & train program with Skylar, and I’m so happy with the results! Skylar was excellent at communicating the whole time, and he did a wonderful job with Mochi! She’s so much more obedient now, learned a lot of commands, and it’s been much easier for me to teach her new commands the past couple of weeks since she’s come back from training without her selectively choosing to obey/disobey. She had some significant excitement/reactivity issues, and they did a great job on helping her work through them - it’s a lot easier to control her and calm her down when she starts to react, and her reactions are much less severe now. Skylar has also been great about continuing to answer any questions and check in with me on how’s she’s doing since she came back. I’d absolutely recommend the board & train program!
